Bai Su stood quietly in line. Wen Dabao held her hand, his head bobbing as he gazed all around, yet he remained constantly on alert.
She was disguised as a rabbit Beastman for the day, her sharp lizard tail coiled around her waist so as not to draw attention.
Li Chenlin and Rosa Meiya weren’t idle either. They flanked Bai Su, one in front and one behind, preventing anyone from approaching her.
No matter how reluctant Li Chenlin was, he wouldn’t refuse Rosa Meiya’s help on an occasion like this.
On her hand, Bai Su wore the White Spider Ring of the Yelias family. A tiny, transparent strand of spider silk, barely noticeable, was tucked into her ear.

Holding their invitations, Bai Su and the others followed the line and entered the city.
The city’s construction was exceptionally magnificent. Its roads and plazas were remarkably spacious, making it feel more like a Western-style temple—a Bright City stationed above the clouds.
The ground was paved with white jade tiles. The only people coming and going on the streets were soldiers in white and cool-silver metal uniforms, and maids and male servants in gowns.
Occasionally, exquisitely crafted, high-tech flying shuttles would pass by on the wide roads.
Children dressed in white were playing and laughing in the streets, wearing floral wreaths on their heads.
For a moment, Bai Su thought she had arrived in paradise.
The announcements outside the city gate continued: "Welcoming the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild, codename L, to Qin City."
When Bai Su heard the codename, she couldn’t help but turn to look toward the city gate.
She saw a diminutive White Wolf Beastman appear, wearing a mask. He was dressed in an elegant white suit, and his figure looked strangely familiar.
The little fellow across from her had evidently noticed her gaze. He didn’t shy away, simply offering a gentlemanly nod.
Bai Su paused for a moment, then politely nodded in return.
Beside codename L was an equally small attendant, who was also wearing a suit and mask.
Bai Su looked at Li Chenlin beside her. "Seems like the President of the Bounty Hunter Guild is pretty important, huh? I noticed everyone else used their real names to enter, but he gets to use a codename and wear a mask."
Li Chenlin nodded slightly, glancing at the two small figures receding in the distance. "The Bounty Hunter Guild is a new organization that sprang up last year, and it’s growing ferociously. I heard the President is a Wolf Beastman who reached Level 9 at a very young age. He’s quite capable."

Bai Su followed their gazes. The man entering the gate wore a black suit with a cloak draped over it.
The newcomer was tall and slender, his face handsome but pale. He was breathtakingly beautiful.
Although he appeared to be a frail man, his bottomless eyes exuded an inexplicable sense of pressure.
Li Chenlin said, "That’s the supreme leader of the Medical Alliance. He never appears in public. I never expected him to be so young."
Xiao Yi also spotted Bai Su not far away, and a dark glint flashed through his bottomless eyes.
He gave Bai Su a slight, gentlemanly nod in greeting.
Bai Su hadn’t expected him to greet her. After a moment’s surprise, she gave a slight nod in return.
Li Chenlin vigilantly stepped in front of Bai Su, blocking Xiao Yi’s line of sight.
But Xiao Yi seemed utterly unconcerned. After his greeting, he gathered his cloak around himself, coughed twice, and let the city’s servants lead him inside.
The next to arrive were from the International Alliance.
"Welcoming the President of the International Alliance, Gu Yong, to Qin City."
Gu Yong wore a black and gold military uniform. He appeared to be in his forties or fifties, with a full beard that made him look especially imposing.
He was followed by an attendant, who was none other than Wen Lan, also in a military uniform.
Wen Dabao’s eyes lit up. "Mom! It’s Dad and Uncle Gu."
When Gu Yong saw Bai Su, he also inclined his head slightly in acknowledgment.
Bai Su hadn’t expected them to greet her one after another, and she quickly returned a smile.
As if seeing through her confusion, Li Chenlin said with an amused laugh, "Now you see how different you are, don’t you?"
