Chapter 207: Chapter 205: Bai Su Is the President of the Female Protection Institution?

The Foreign Delegation’s Residence.

Rosa Meiya was so furious she smashed several vases and cups.

Her younger brother, Mirene, sat helplessly to the side. "Sis, calm down. Otherwise, you’ll get wrinkles and won’t be beautiful anymore."

Furious, Rosa Meiya smacked him on the back of the head. "You useless thing!"

"I ask you to do one little thing and you can’t even get it right! Even that pretty face of yours is no use. What else can I possibly count on you for?"

Mirene had grown up being hit by his sister, so he wasn’t angry, just unbearably wronged.

"But Susu just doesn’t like me. And... and for some reason, the people of the Sea Country are so easily swayed by her."

"She only has to say a few words on her livestream, and they’re all pacified."

Rosa Meiya was furious enough to kill.

She had never felt so utterly humiliated in her life. To be backed into a corner like this, completely unable to fight back.

Her original plan had been to use her brother Mirene’s good looks to seduce that female, to make her fall at his feet.

Then, she’d have Mirene sow discord between Bai Su and her Beast Husbands, and she would take advantage of the chaos.

Rosa Meiya took a deep breath and sat down heavily on the bed again. "Forget it. Perhaps the Sea Country’s methods are useless on land. I’ll have to use the methods of the land-dwellers!"

Mirene asked, "What methods?"

As if struck by an idea, Rosa Meiya sneered. "I hear they’ve established a Female Protection Institution on land, and that this institution is highly authoritative among females."

"Since Bai Su treated the two of us, guests from the Sea Country, so rudely, I’m going to report her to the Female Protection Institution! I’ll make the officials step in and force her to apologize to me in person!"

The next day, Rosa Meiya dressed in her finest and went to the Female Protection Institution first thing in the morning.

As the princess and heir of the Sea Country, she naturally required someone of consequence to receive her upon arrival.

When Bai Ruxin heard Rosa Meiya had arrived, she thought she must have misheard.

She quickly had her assistant escort Rosa Meiya to the top floor of the building.

Seeing the staff’s respectful and courteous service, the expression on Rosa Meiya’s face finally improved a bit.

Here, she finally began to feel like a proper guest again.

Rosa Meiya sat on the sofa in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, crossing her arms and waiting with an unhurried air.

When she saw Bai Ruxin enter in professional attire, she looked her up and down before asking with a critical tone, "You’re the president of the Female Protection Institution?"

Bai Ruxin replied respectfully, "Your Highness, I am the institution’s vice-president. How may I assist you?"

Rosa Meiya scoffed at her words. "Your authority isn’t sufficient. Go bring your president here. I will speak with her face-to-face."

"Well..." A troubled look crossed Bai Ruxin’s face. "Our president is very busy. She might not be..."

Rosa Meiya immediately slammed her hand on the table. "What is the meaning of this? I, the princess of the Sea Country, come to your nation, and this is how you receive me?"

"Let me tell you, with my status, I’m entitled to an audience with your leader. How dare a mere president put on airs in front of me?"

"Or are you saying that the Snow Country looks down on the Sea Country and has no desire for friendly relations with us?"

This weighty accusation made the color drain from Bai Ruxin’s face.

She hurriedly explained, "That’s not it. Our institution recently appointed a new president and was just merged into the Snow Country’s official government structure, so many handover tasks and procedures are being changed..."

Rosa Meiya said impatiently, "If I don’t see your president within half an hour, I’ll have the King of the Sea Country speak directly to your leader. When that time comes... the conversation won’t be nearly as pleasant."

Seeing this, Bai Ruxin had no choice but to compromise. "Very well, I will go and fetch our president. May I ask what business you have with her? I can pass on a message."

Rosa Meiya snorted. "I want to file a complaint against Bai Su."

"Huh??" Bai Ruxin was dumbfounded.

Rosa Meiya grew impatient at her dumbfounded look. "What are you ’huh’-ing for? Hurry up and go!"

Bai Ruxin’s expression became very strange. "You want to file a complaint against Bai Su... Perhaps I can help you with that?"

Rosa Meiya gave her a haughty look. "Just you?"

Bai Ruxin nodded good-naturedly. "Yes. Why don’t you start by telling me about the dispute between you and Bai Su? What is the complaint? And do you have any evidence?"

Furious, Rosa Meiya slammed her water glass down on the table. "Insolence! Who do you think you are? How dare you use such a tone to interrogate me? Do you think you’re worthy?"

"It is an honor I have bestowed upon you simply by allowing you to stand here and receive me today!"

"A mere vice-president, yet you dare to overstep your authority and meddle in my affairs. Can you bear the crime of showing contempt for royalty? Get your president out here!"

"In fact, I’m going to complain about you, too!"

Bai Ruxin’s expression became very peculiar. "Oh... very well. Please wait a moment."

Rosa Meiya rolled her eyes.

A little over ten minutes later, the door to the reception hall was pushed open again.

Rosa Meiya looked up, stunned at the sight of the newcomer. She immediately flew into a rage. "What are you doing here?"

Bai Su’s lips curled. "I’m here for the same reason you are."

Rosa Meiya glared at her, gnashing her teeth. "Bai Su, cut the fucking act. Who do you think you are?"

"Oh, I get it. Someone tipped you off, didn’t they?"

"You heard I was coming here to report you, and now you’re feeling guilty? Scared? Finally realize you were wrong?"

"Let me tell you, Bai Su, it’s too late!"

"Even if you get on your knees and beg me to let you go, it’s absolutely not happening!"

The corner of Bai Su’s mouth twitched. She walked to the sofa in front of her and slowly sat down. "Fine."

Rosa Meiya instinctively covered her face and leaned back. "What are you doing?"

Bai Su leisurely pulled a work badge from her pocket and pinned it to her chest. "Weren’t you looking for the president to file a complaint? Well, here I am."

Rosa Meiya peeked through her fingers, and her eyes widened in disbelief at the words on the work badge.

She snatched her hands away from her face and leaned in for a closer look, terrified her eyes were playing tricks on her.

After a long moment, she shot to her feet, pointed a finger at Bai Su’s nose, and shrieked, her voice sharp enough to crack, "How the fuck can you be the president of the Female Protection Institution?!"

Bai Su straightened her ID badge with a grin. "That would be me."

Rosa Meiya’s face turned green with rage. "On what grounds?! How could you possibly be the president of the Female Protection Institution?! All the servers at your restaurant are female! You’re enslaving females! You’re lucky no one’s reported you, and yet you’re the president?!"

The corners of Bai Su’s lips lifted. "Allow me to correct you. I am not enslaving females. They come to my restaurant of their own free will to eat, and every day I personally cook a meal to reward them."

"The food I make has a Healing Ability. It can help them restore their fertility and return to a normal life. That is why they come to my restaurant voluntarily."

"Do you have any other questions?"
