Chapter 205: Chapter 203: The Taste Guessing Game

Bai Su snapped out of her daze and instinctively looked toward Yelias, her pupils constricting. "Yelias... don’t!"

Yelias said, "But you can..."

Bai Su struggled frantically, but the spider silk wrapped around her was soft yet tough. It wouldn’t cut into her, but it was impossible to break free from.

She was terrified, watching helplessly as her body was maneuvered into a contorted position. "Yelias!"

Yelias leaned in close. "I’m here. Don’t be afraid, Susu. You can endure it."

’She wanted to curse at him.’

As if sensing her thoughts, Yelias asked in a wronged tone, "Didn’t you say you were going to compensate me? Susu, you’ve ignored me for so many days. Aren’t you even willing to cheer me up a little?"

"Susu, out of all of us, I’m your least favorite, aren’t I? We met last, and we’ve spent the least amount of time together."

"You only let me become your second Beast Husband because Lu Tingyan asked you to, didn’t you?"

"You didn’t get registered with me because of me. I’ve known it all along, actually..."

"Susu, you don’t like me..."

Bai Su froze. ’How could I not like him?’

When they were intimate, he was always the most considerate of her feelings and the one who made her feel most comfortable afterward.

Bai Su looked at him. "Yelias, it’s not that I don’t like you..."

She was desperate to prove her feelings but didn’t know where to begin.

Yelias replied, "Is that so? If Susu really likes me, would you be willing to play a little game with me?"

Bai Su looked at him. "What game?"

Yelias’s lips curved. "A very interesting game."

"You didn’t refuse, so that means you agree."

"Prove it to me, Susu. Show me that you truly like me..."

Bai Su felt that something was off, but she couldn’t put her finger on what it was...

Yelias’s slender fingers unfastened his tie. He pulled it off and used it to blindfold Bai Su.

"Let’s play three games."

"Best two out of three. If you win, it’ll prove that you really do like me. But if you lose... the punishment is doubled."

With her eyes covered, Bai Su’s other senses became exceptionally sharp.

She could clearly sense the fragrance of his Cedar Spiritual Power lingering in the air.

Completely naked, her skin felt extra sensitive.

She couldn’t see what he was preparing beside her, but each time he moved close, his passing stirred a faint breeze against her skin. It made her tense up, thinking he was about to touch her, only for the moment to pass.

Faintly, she thought she could also smell the aroma of fruit and yogurt, as well as honey and milk...

Bai Su grew a little anxious. "Yelias, what are you doing?"

Yelias sounded quite cheerful. "Getting the props for our game."

"Don’t be in such a hurry, Susu. We have all night."

Bai Su bit her lip. "I’m not in a hurry, but..."

’But I don’t want to play this game anymore. I have a feeling he’s going to put me through the wringer.’

"Susu, if you really like me, you must be very familiar with my scent, right?" Yelias’s voice held a dangerous allure, like an Enchanting Demon luring its prey into the Abyss.

Bai Su was a little frightened. "Yelias, I don’t want to play anymore."

Yelias fell silent for a moment, his voice tinged with self-deprecation. "You see? You really don’t like me. You only made me your second Beast Husband because of your promise to Lu Tingyan."

"Susu, you hate me. What future is there for a male who’s detested by his wife?"

"I’m not as magnanimous as Lu Tingyan, and I don’t spend as much effort trying to please you as Li Chenlin does. I’m just awful."

"So it’s true. There’s a reason you don’t like me. How could someone like me ever deserve to be the wife’s most favored Beast Husband...?"

"It’s not like that..." Bai Su quickly refuted.

Normally, Yelias was always calm, dignified, elegant, and aloof. He never deigned to reveal any negative emotions.

This was nothing like the man before her now—full of self-loathing, self-doubt, and self-recrimination.

This was a side of Yelias she had never seen before.

’Had her unintentional neglect really caused him this much inner turmoil?’

Her heart ached for him. "Yelias, I... I’ll play your little game with you. Don’t overthink things, okay? I’m right here by your side. If I didn’t like you, why would I be so patiently spending time with you?"

After a moment of silence in the darkness, Yelias’s voice sounded again. "Susu, you don’t have to force yourself to play with me just to humor me."

Bai Su said, "I’m not forcing myself at all! To be honest, I’m also very curious about what kind of game you have in mind. I’m looking forward to it!"

Yelias’s voice was suddenly right beside her ear. "Really?"

Bai Su nodded eagerly. "Yes, really!"

"Good." A soft chuckle came from Yelias. His hot breath brushed the nape of her neck like a feather, making her tingle.

Bai Su could only hear the faint rustle of clothing and feel the warmth beside her retreat as he seemed to put some distance between them.

Yelias’s voice sounded again. "Alright, let’s start with a game of ’guess the flavor’..."

Bai Su stared blankly into the darkness. "Flavor?"

Suddenly, the faint scent of cream, mixed with the light sweetness of strawberries, reached her nose.

Yelias’s voice, laced with seduction, sounded by her ear again. "Have a taste?"

Bai Su opened her mouth instinctively as a dollop of rich cream was brought to her lips.

She tilted her head back, and as she went to take a taste, she accidentally bit down on skin.

A muffled grunt from Yelias followed immediately.

Bai Su froze, not daring to move.

Yelias’s low chuckle followed. "Gentler. Guess where I spread the cream?"

Bai Su blinked in the darkness, then tilted her head back and licked at the cream.

A sharp intake of breath sounded beside her ear.

Bai Su perceived the slight movement. "Your Adam’s apple!"

A low chuckle sounded. "Excellent. You guessed right."

"In that case, please enjoy your reward..."

When Bai Su came to, she was already back in the mansion, cleaned up and tucked into a soft bed.

Yelias was sitting beside her, reading a book.

She was curled up with her head nestled close to him, her hand draped over his waist, tightly gripping the hem of his shirt.

Remembering the intensity of what had happened earlier, Bai Su blushed and quickly pulled her hand back.

"You’re awake?" Yelias stroked her head, his gaze gentle.

Bai Su was still a bit dazed and blinked her eyes.

His heart softened. "Sleepyhead, are you fully awake? I have something to tell you."

Bai Su stretched lazily beside him, then buried her face against his stomach and took a deep breath. The cool cedar scent, warmed by the cozy blankets, was exceptionally fragrant.

"Susu, it looks like you’re asking for it again..." Yelias’s voice grew husky.

Bai Su quickly scrambled up and sat obediently beside him. "Okay, I’m awake now."
