Chapter 79: Chapter 79: Eaten and Wiped Clean

"Hm?"

Sonia Quincy didn’t immediately understand what he meant. Her almond-shaped eyes widened, and she looked at Felix Preston in a daze.

Felix Preston explained with his actions.

The moment his warm, soft lips suddenly pressed against hers, the emotion in Sonia Quincy’s eyes went completely blank.

It was as if her brain had crashed; the only part of her body that still had any feeling was her mouth.

Not gentle or refined in the slightest, Felix Preston was fierce when he kissed.

He licked and bit at Sonia Quincy’s lips, stealing all her breath.

Sonia Quincy was a late bloomer; she had never kissed a man before meeting Felix Preston. When it came to kissing, she was a complete novice. All she could do was stand there, stunned, and let Felix do as he pleased.

Felix Preston kissed her passionately for a long time, but getting no response, he grew a little anxious. He pulled away from Sonia, panting, and his right thumb suggestively stroked her reddened lips. "Is this not okay?" he asked softly.

Sonia Quincy blinked, only now truly coming back to her senses.

She knew what Felix Preston wanted to do, and she seriously considered his question.

’Is it okay? Can Felix do these things to me?’

She thought back to that clumsy kiss, to the feeling of the last two times she had "relieved his stress." She realized she wasn’t opposed to being intimate with Felix Preston. On the contrary, every time they were close, she felt an indescribable pleasure.

’If it’s pleasurable, then I must be willing.’

So she decided that yes, Felix Preston could do these things to her.

She slowly raised her gaze to meet Felix Preston’s eyes and softly uttered one word.

"Yes."

Felix Preston’s breath instantly hitched.

Sonia Quincy clutched his sleeve, her voice equally hoarse. "But I might be a little nervous."

"...That’s okay." Felix Preston gently caressed the corner of her lips, rubbing the tip of his nose against hers. "Just follow my lead," he said, his voice raspy.

Sonia Quincy replied, "Okay."

Felix Preston lifted his head, the corners of his eyes crinkling with a hint of wickedness. "Take off my glasses."

"Okay." Sonia Quincy was very obedient and did as she was told.

She took off Felix Preston’s glasses and carefully placed them on the table beside them.

The glasses seemed to be Felix Preston’s seal. Once the seal was removed, he transformed from a gentle puppy into a fierce wolf.

Although Sonia Quincy had never kissed anyone, she had a general idea of how to respond. But Felix Preston was just too fierce. She tried her best to learn, but she couldn’t get the hang of it. For the first few moments, she could barely keep up, but soon, all she could do was let him have his way with her.

"Be good." Felix Preston briefly pulled away, his lips brushing against hers as he spoke. "Open your mouth."

That single phrase, "Be good," sent a tingle through her that was both thrilling and numbing. Sonia Quincy was completely powerless against it.

Under Felix Preston’s coaxing, she parted her lips slightly, allowing him to invade once more.

Kissing her all the while, Felix Preston swept her up into his arms and carefully laid her on the bed.

Her mind had long since turned to mush; all she could do was let Felix Preston have his wicked way with her.

Felix Preston bewildered her with his kisses, and by the time a chill washed over her, she realized he had already stripped her bare.

The window in the room was still open, which Felix Preston only remembered after he was done.

He took off his own shirt and draped it over Sonia Quincy, then got off the bed to shut the window and draw the curtains tight before returning to continue his "wicked deeds."

It was safe to be intimate during the second trimester, but it required extra care. Felix Preston was constantly mindful of his movements; no matter how unbearable the urge, he didn’t dare to be reckless.

The sounds of heartbeats, gasps, and Felix Preston’s intimate whispers jumbled together in Sonia Quincy’s ears.

WHOOSH—

She didn’t know when the downpour had started. Sonia Quincy, enveloped by the sound of the rain, rose and fell against Felix Preston’s body like a lone boat adrift on the ocean.

Rocking and swaying, rocking and swaying, it was a long time before she found a shore to cling to.

...

Sonia Quincy snuggled in Felix Preston’s arms, her stomach rumbling with hunger.

"Sonia, let me go out and get you something to eat," Felix Preston said in a low voice, kissing Sonia Quincy’s cheek, then her lips.

Sonia Quincy closed her eyes in exhaustion and nodded obediently. "Okay."

Felix Preston stroked her brow. "What do you want to eat?"

Sonia Quincy giggled. "I want some barbecue."

"Okay," Felix Preston agreed. He sat up in bed, bent down to pick up his clothes and put them on, then leaned close to Sonia Quincy and nibbled her ear. "You be good and wait for me at home. If you get tired, take a nap."

Sonia Quincy said, "Mhm, it’s raining hard outside. Be safe."

Felix Preston kissed her on the forehead, his smile both gentle and lingering.

"I will."

The rain was coming down hard. The temperature plummeted several degrees with the downpour, and the wind had a biting chill that cut to the bone.

Felix Preston held an umbrella, walking alone through the vast curtain of rain, but a scorching heat burned in his chest. This heat was enough to shield him from any storm or bitter cold.

There were several barbecue stands right at the entrance of the residential complex, still open for business despite the heavy rain.

Sonia Quincy had used up a lot of energy, so Felix Preston bought extra food. As soon as he had it, he hurried back home.

"Sonia, I’m back!"

Felix Preston called out Sonia Quincy’s name eagerly before the door was even fully open.

Sonia Quincy groggily opened her eyes, climbed out of bed, and walked to the living room, rubbing her eyes.

The aroma of the barbecue was tantalizing. The moment Sonia Quincy sat down, she couldn’t help but swallow.

Felix Preston unfolded the foil and handed her a skewer of chicken wings. "Go on, eat. It’s still hot."

Sonia Quincy took it and took a big bite. "You eat too."

Felix Preston replied, "Okay."

"Felix Preston, I want to ask you something." Now that her head was clearer, Sonia Quincy finally asked the question that had been weighing on her mind.

Felix Preston took a hairpin from his pocket, carefully clipped back Sonia Quincy’s stray hairs, and only then sat down to eat his barbecue.

"What is it?"

Sonia Quincy said, "When you... when you went to the Sinclair Group to seek investment, did your competitors and the executives there laugh at you? Laugh at you for marrying a wife with such a terrible reputation?"

"No." Felix Preston frowned slightly, his tone serious and sincere. "No one has said anything like that to me, and no one has been gossiping about you. Why are you suddenly asking this? Did Renee Sinclair say something to you today?"

"Mhm." Sonia Quincy pouted, visibly upset. "She told me that when you were seeking investment from the Sinclair Group, everyone was laughing at you. She also said... that I cheated on you, and that the baby in my belly isn’t yours."

"Nonsense." Felix Preston’s eyes flashed with fury, and he snapped the bamboo skewer in his hand.

"I’ll go find her tomorrow. I’ll make sure she apologizes to you in person."

"There’s no need." That wasn’t what Sonia Quincy wanted. Her gaze fell on the red marks covering his neck, and she gave Felix Preston a gentle smile. "You can’t ever stop people from talking. Her apology wouldn’t be sincere, and I wouldn’t feel happy even if I heard it."

"Let her say what she wants. As long as you weren’t insulted, I’m relieved."

Felix Preston put down his barbecue, reached out to stroke Sonia Quincy’s face, his eyes overflowing with heartache for her.

"Sonia, from now on, I won’t have any more contact with Renee Sinclair. And I won’t humble myself to curry favor with the Sinclair Group. I succeeded once ten years ago, and I can succeed a second time ten years later. I will give you a happy future."
