Chapter 1193: Chapter 1195

Cai Meina really doesn’t get it, why once Wan Qiweng is out of the hospital, the kids at home want to run off to other places.

It’s normal to want to go out and play, having been in the United States for so long without visiting anywhere, there’s naturally a sense of discomfort.

But why travel to such far places and so many of them, when asked about return dates, the answer is "I don’t know".

Upon hearing this, Cai Meina was unsatisfied in every way, it sounded unreliable, luckily they’re with Zhao Xuran, otherwise she wouldn’t have agreed.

"You all, be careful when you go out." Cai Meina wants to remind her daughter to be cautious.

Although she wants to become a grandmother, her daughter is still two years away from graduating, and nothing can happen at this time.

But how should she say this, maybe the kids didn’t have this idea, but her mentioning it might spark curiosity.

"Actually, it would be great if Xiao Xin went."

"Didn’t you say she’s unhappy with her work?" Cai Meina wants Gong Jiaxin to go along, but she’s busy with work and can’t ignore her responsibilities.

Letting Gong Jiaxin go would be good; although she wants to leave her job there, she must work diligently to prevent any bad rumors about the company.

"Mom, don’t worry." Gong Ruzhi, seeing her worried mother, jumped in to comfort her.

"I’ll keep an eye on Brother Xuran." Gong Ruzhi promised.

She rolled her eyes at the youngest son, thinking that despite his age, he knows a lot, "You just take care of yourself and don’t be mischievous."

"Stop pestering your sister and brother-in-law to buy things for you." Cai Meina had noticed quite a few clothing and bag packages in her son’s room.

He might have gotten Gong Ruini to spend money on him.

He never asks his sister to buy things; at most, if his brother-in-law sees something he likes, he might offer to buy it, but he never brings it up himself.

As a member of the Gong Family, there’s a sense of pride.

"Didn’t you forget what’s in your room?" How easy is it to deny it? Cai Meina retorted.

Sigh, her mother’s eyes are sharp; alright, he should honestly keep an eye on Brother Xuran, he can’t let him succeed, or else mom will definitely lose it.

Zhao Guangran from the back was listening intently, laughing heartily.

Zhao Guangran won’t keep this news to himself, of course, he’s rushing to share it with his big brother.

Zhao Xuran doesn’t see an issue, a mom thinking this way just means one thing, "Aunt Cai is looking out for Ni Zi."

Speechless, his big brother is really skirting the main point; it’s clearly a matter of distrust towards him.

But facing his brother’s intense gaze, he couldn’t say it, "Yeah, I just meant Aunt Cai is great."

Crying, truly wanting to cry, his brother’s presence is increasingly oppressive, listening to him lecturing used to be stressful.

Now, it’s just his gaze directly, Zhao Guangran seemingly understands how those around his brother experience this pressure.

It must be extremely stressful too; Zhao Guangran sympathizes with them, having such a domineering and fierce boss is really tough.

Once on the plane, Zhao Guangran swiftly pulled Gong Ruzhi and Wan Yihui to the seats in the back rows, leaving the front three seats for Zhao Xuran, Gong Ruini, and Dai Liren.

Gong Ruini looked at Dai Liren smiling beside her, feeling speechless.

Didn’t this guy say his brother returned to New York and he had to visit him, yet here he is back so soon, how strange.

A long unseen cousin with good rapport, plus he got some nice news from her, he should be chatting with his brother.

Dai Liren laughed heartily, "My brother suddenly got a new project."

"He’s busy, has no time to bother with me." If it wasn’t something he needed to discuss with his brother, he would’ve returned sooner.

Though living here is crowded, Dai Liren feels it’s lively here, full of human warmth.

So that’s the reason, Zhao Guangran uttered an "oh", although he feels Dai Liren’s return might draw his brother’s attention away, it makes him feel uncomfortable.

Wanting to subtly criticize, it’s impossible with this guy ignoring him.

Looking at Dai Liren’s head, he wants to throw a punch at him.

Forget it, he won’t get angry with him; otherwise, he might lose help, missing countless money-making opportunities.

These days, if there’s money to be made, these little things can’t be fussed over.

Although Gong Ruini hasn’t been to many airports and this one is bigger than Hainan’s, its interior decor is still lacking.

Comparing it to airports in New York and Los Angeles, the difference is not minor.

Zhao Guangran couldn’t help but shake his head, "This airport is not big and quite rundown."

"Beijing’s airport is better." Gong Ruzhi commented, implying this was variously inadequate.

Not on the same level, Gong Ruini almost wanted to cry, why would her brother compare airports, why bring up the one in Beijing?

That’s the Capital’s airport, a vanity project. Lucky they’re speaking Chinese, otherwise it would definitely be an embarrassment to the Chinese.

"There aren’t many flights here, and for foreigners, besides a few hubs, the rest are pretty lacking."

"There are only a few cities with domestic flights, but it’s different in the United States, there are countless airports, do you think foreigners want to spend extra for this?"

"Besides, airports are just for boarding and disembarking."

Alright, airport basics pointed out, Gong Ruini had wanted to take pictures at the airport exit, but now she’s lost the interest.

The airport’s too run-down; though there’s English signage, it’s a blatant black mark for America.

Once out, photos would invite criticism of her for being attention-seeking; better to quietly share shots of the ranch, New York, and Los Angeles.

Gong Ruini is brainstorming how to photograph this trip; she needs plenty and plans to show friends visiting that they’ve been in America a while, asking where they went.

Without detail, just toss out these photos, enough to fuel envy and jealousy.

Zhao Guangran might’ve been in the U.S. for two years, but hasn’t been here before, "Many here are millionaires or billionaires."

Driving down the road, Zhao Guangran is marveling, "Though ranch revenues have been dropping, ranchers often protest, yet earnings beat regular jobs."

"Never thought I’d end up like them." Zhao Guangran’s excitement overflows; if done right, profits could wake him from dreams laughing.

"Ni Zi, I really want to see how your brain is wired, why you know so much." Zhao Guangran truly can’t grasp why he’s lagging behind.

At home, if he’s not diligent, being overshadowed by Gong Ruini isn’t a shock; but despite long exposure in America, he’s still not surpassed her, baffled.

Left confused, Zhao Guangran resigns to being under Gong Ruini’s thumb, but considering her intelligence, he should be respectful since she’s his sister-in-law.

In hindsight, at least he respects a smart person, lifting his spirits considerably.
