Chapter 32: The Fragment Of Memories
"I—Impossible..." Hypno’s eyes widened as he remembered it clearly, the ancient voice from long ago.
"In the end, their authority meant nothing." Rentaro said as he stepped forward slowly, his transformed eyes narrowing slightly as he stared down at Hypnos.
Hypnos’ brief flicker of shock slowly turned to a quiet chuckle, then he said. "I’m actually shocked."
Immediately, he stretched out his hand again, and activated the Perfect Slumber, but before it could completely engulf Rentaro’s body again, it shattered into a blue brilliant light.
He gritted his teeth and tried repeatedly, but it ended up in the same results, shattering to pieces.
Then slowly Rentaro raised his right hand, then placed the tip of his thumb on his middle finger, and a torrent of energy began spiraling around his fist viscously as he said in his dual voice. "It seems you forgot, so I’ll remind you. Throughout all creation, I alone, am the perfect being."
Then, he flicked his fingers, and Hypnos’s eyes widened to its limits as the torrent of energy glinted in his eyes.
A vortex of energy exploded outward, expanding rapidly across a wide range and completely swallowing Hypnos within its raging force.
In the same instant, Rentaro vanished. The ground beneath where he stood shattered and disintegrated from the sheer pressure left behind.
Moments later, the vortex still roared in the distance.
Then, from its far end, Rentaro emerged with a great speed, holding Hypnos by the face in his grip.
Without hesitation, he swung him down and slammed him into the ground.
The impact cracked the earth as Hypnos coughed out blood, the force of the blow echoing through the ruined space.
Rentaro dropped from the air like a falling meteor.
He drove straight down into Hypnos’s midsection with crushing force, the impact folding the ground beneath them.
Hypnos’s eyes snapped wide open in shock, pupils dilating as the breath was violently forced from his lungs.
Above him, Rentaro stood over him, staring down with empty, unreadable eyes, unmoved and silent.
"I—Impossible... It is you. How... How!? You were supposed to be sealed away, Chronos!" Hypnos screamed at the top of his voice, panic breaking through his usual composure as realization struck him like a hammer.
At first, he had believed it was just Rentaro pushing beyond his limits, like some unnatural surge of power.
But now he was certain.
There was no power-up. freewebnøvel.coɱ
Somehow... Somehow... That presence, that pressure, that distorted authority, it could only be one person.
It was the Primordial God of Time, a being feared across existence itself — Chronos.
"Thanks to you, I have returned, and now, I will have my vengeance." Rentaro, now influenced by the entity Chronos, said as he placed his hand firmly on Hypnos’s face.
A cold, deep blue light began to emanate from within his grip, seeping outward in quiet pulses. The glow spread across Hypnos’s features, as if something far older than force itself was pressing through reality, rewriting what it touched in silence.
"NOO! CHRONOS!!" Almost immediately, Hypnos was consumed by the blinding blue light in an instant.
There was no struggle, no resistance, only sudden dissolution.
His body broke apart into fine dust, scattering and rising upward like a fading cloud of blue smoke, drifting into the sky as if reality itself had chosen to erase him completely.

The blue glow in Rentaro’s eyes began to fade, the clock-like symbols within them growing dimmer with each passing second until they vanished completely.
The strange presence surrounding him disappeared.
His body trembled.
Then Rentaro dropped to his knees, exhaustion crashing into him all at once. He tried to stay upright, but his strength had long since run dry.
A moment later, he pitched forward and collapsed onto the ruined ground, unconscious.
A vortex suddenly opened overhead as the temple began to collapse around it. Stone and debris rained from above while deep cracks spread through the structure.
Then, like the pull of a black hole, the vortex seized Rentaro’s unconscious body and dragged him into its depths.
Moments later, the temple gave way entirely, collapsing into ruin.
A moment later, the vortex reopened in the same hallway Rentaro had stood in before using the key.
His unconscious body fell out of the swirling portal and landed heavily on the floor with a dull thud.
The vortex lingered for a brief second, then closed without a trace, leaving Rentaro sprawled motionless in the silent hallway.
