" Elena , quickly get inside the truck . If we are surrounded then the crawlers can get to you by jumping , " Leo instructed Elena .
Elena didn’t question him . She simply jumped down from the roof and quickly got inside the truck .
Then the sounds got closer and Leo looked around at his surroundings .
Suddenly , he saw a man running down the street with a horde of zombies chasing him .
Noises started coming from behind him as well . When he turned around , he saw another man running in the same manner , with a horde of zombies pursuing him .
Since there were buildings on both sides , he couldn’t see the zombies , but the noises coming from both directions confirmed that he and his team were surrounded .
He immediately rushed towards the truck and climbed on top of it .
" William , don’t move the truck yet . Wait for my signal . "
After instructing William , Leo looked at the two men and wanted to curse at them . However , when he observed carefully , there seemed to be something wrong with their expressions . ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
Soon the two men reached their location , but before they could say anything , they were pounced on by the zombies and torn apart immediately .
After the zombies finished off the two men , they all turned towards the truck and , as if suddenly filled with adrenaline , began aggressively attacking the truck’s doors and compartment .
" William , don’t panic . They can’t enter the truck . Wait for my signal to move . "
William was extremely nervous right now , but he chose to believe in Leo . If Leo didn’t want to move yet , then he must have a reason .
Leo took out the machete strapped to his waist and began beheading the zombies near the truck one by one .
Seeing that his efficiency was not enough , he began swinging his crowbar as well .
Soon the zombies realized that they couldn’t break into the truck , so they tried climbing onto the truck’s roof .
Leo felt increasingly uneasy about the zombies’ behavior . These were the most common type of zombies . Usually , they were slow and dull , but these zombies appeared to possess some level of intelligence .
However , he didn’t have time to carefully analyze their behavior as he had to focus all of his attention on fighting them .
Since his stats had improved and his strength and agility were no longer as weak as when he had first arrived in this world , dealing with the zombies trying to reach him wasn’t particularly difficult .
Right now , Leo didn’t see these zombies as trouble . Instead , he saw them as experience points and loot .
Soon , his Danger Sense warned him of imminent danger .
" William , now ! Full speed ahead ! "
As soon as William heard Leo , he stepped on the accelerator . With a loud rumble , the truck surged forward , mowing down the zombies in front of it .
The moment the truck moved , five or six crawlers jumped from the nearby buildings and landed where the truck had been moments earlier .
The crawlers were strong and tricky opponents , but Leo had already discovered one of their weaknesses .
After a jump , a crawler needed a moment to stabilize its body . Since they had missed their intended landing point and were further hindered by the nearby zombies , they took even longer to recover .
Unfortunately for them , that brief moment proved fatal .
Leo already had his gun aimed at them .
He quickly pulled the trigger .
" Bang ! Bang ! Bang ! Bang ! "
He had already shot four of the six crawlers in the head .
Before he could pull the trigger again , a violent BANG! CRASH! shook the entire truck as it slammed headfirst into a building .
Due to the sudden crash , Leo , who was standing on top of the truck , lost his balance .
Before he could react , he was hurled off the roof and crashed onto the street below .
Leo immediately stood up and yelled ,
" What the fuck , William ! "
Before he could demand an explanation , the truck’s door suddenly opened and William stepped out .
Leo immediately noticed the blank expression on William’s face and came to a terrifying realization .
