Ivy stared at the vegetables before shifting her gaze back to the old man.

“Well... I don’t need it,” she finally replied before turning her attention back toward Sunny. “Let’s go, dear.”

Sunny wagged its tail excitedly and immediately followed beside her.
However, Ivy had barely taken a few steps when Mr. Smith’s voice suddenly rang out behind her.
“How about I sell my villa?” he asked hurriedly, causing Ivy to stop mid-step. “I can work for you as well and still give you half of the crops I grow.”
Only then did Ivy slowly glance back at him.
Mr. Smith swallowed hard before continuing nervously.
“I actually need the supplies because of my daughter, Pearl,” he admitted quietly. “She can’t continue eating only vegetables without protein and other proper foods.”
“I...”
Before Ivy could reply, the system notification suddenly rang out inside her mind.

“And there’s no need for you to vacate the villa you’re currently staying in,” Ivy added calmly. "You can continue staying here and I’ll keep protecting you. The outside world is dangerous hence staying in this villa is still the best option."
The moment those words left her mouth, another wave of shock crashed through Mr. Smith.
“What?”
His face was filled with utter disbelief.
He had genuinely expected Ivy to take ownership of the villa immediately and force his family out sooner or later as he was also prepared to leave anyways. Yet not only had she agreed to help him, she was even allowing them to continue staying there.
“T...Thank you...” he stammered gratefully. “Thank you so much.”
Meanwhile, another system notification suddenly echoed inside Ivy’s head.

A slow smile immediately spread across Ivy’s face.
