Chapter 90: Chapter 90 Go scout the area first.
Lila carefully picked up the eggs one after another and cracked them into a bowl.
"One..."
Crack!
"Two..."
Crack!
Soon, she was already on the sixth egg.
However, just as she was about to crack it.....
Slip!
The egg suddenly slipped from her fingers.
"Ah!"
Lila gasped in shock as the egg fell toward the floor.
But before it could even hit the ground....
Whoosh!
Aria appeared instantly and caught the egg smoothly in midair.
Silence.
The entire kitchen froze.
Both Ivy and Lila stared at Aria in utter shock, their eyes widening with disbelief.
Aria herself looked equally stunned.
After all, just seconds ago, she had been standing near the freezer several steps away while grabbing the fruit juice Ivy asked her to get.
Yet somehow...
She had crossed the kitchen and caught the falling egg before it touched the ground.
And the terrifying part was....she hadn’t even run.
It looked more like she had simply moved too fast for normal human eyes to process.
"Mommy..." Aria called out slowly, her eyes wide with shock as she stared at the egg in her hand. "Did... did you just see that?"
She blinked rapidly before excitement suddenly exploded across her face.
"I’m so fast, Mommy!"
"Oh yes..." Ivy replied slowly, still staring at her daughter in astonishment. "I can definitely see that."
Immediately, Ivy walked toward Aria before kneeling down in front of her.
Her expression turned serious with concern mixed with curiosity.
"Did this just start happening today?" she asked gently.
"Yes, Mommy!" Lila chimed in excitedly before Aria could even answer. "My sister is like Flash now! Miss Flash!"
Lila bounced excitedly where she stood, her eyes sparkling brightly.
"I can talk to dogs, and now Aria is super fast! Everything we watch in cartoons is actually real after all!" she squealed happily before turning toward her sister. "They’re real, Aria!"
Aria immediately nodded repeatedly, unable to contain her excitement either.
Meanwhile, Ivy could only stare at them speechlessly for a moment.
Ding!
{You second daughter’s skills has awakened: Fast Reflexes.}
{More skills will gradually unlock for both children as their abilities continue evolving.}
Ivy’s eyes widened slightly.
Woah... that’s actually crazy.
She couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly.
Still...
Thank goodness modern cartoons and superhero movies existed.
Otherwise, how exactly was she supposed to explain supernatural abilities to her children without frightening them?
"Looks like Mommy needs to start watching more cartoons too," Ivy finally said with a light laugh as she stood back up. "Maybe I’ll awaken ice powers someday. I wouldn’t mind freezing things."
"Yeah!" Aria replied excitedly while jumping happily. "That would be amazing!"
"And I’ll have animal powers forever!" Lila added proudly.
Ivy shook her head helplessly at their excitement before smiling warmly.
"Alright, girls. Let’s continue making breakfast," she said gently. "Like I said earlier, Mommy has somewhere important to be today."
"Yes, Mommy," the twins replied obediently before continuing the tasks assigned to them.

Soon, breakfast was finally done.
Fresh toast, crispy bacon, fried eggs, and chilled fruit juice were arranged neatly on the table while Aria and Lila happily devoured their food.
Meanwhile, Ivy prepared bottles of breast milk for Hope before heading to get herself ready.
Not long after, she returned fully dressed and prepared for the day.
She quickly had her own breakfast, served Sunny his meal as well, and afterward breastfed little Hope until the baby finally fell asleep peacefully in her arms.
By the time everything was completed, it was only 8:00 a.m.
Very early.
Yet the entire morning routine had already been completed smoothly.
"Alright girls, Mommy has to leave now," Ivy finally said with a warm smile as she carefully placed Hope, who had fallen asleep after feeding, back into her crib.
Even while speaking, her thoughts drifted toward the territory she was currently building.
She simply couldn’t stop thinking about it.
The sooner she cleared out the monsters surrounding the area, the sooner she could turn it into a truly safe place for her children.
"Okay, Mommy," Aria and Lila chorused together from the kitchen sink where they were busy washing their dishes obediently.
"Lunch has already been prepared too," Ivy reminded them. "Mommy already fried the chicken, and there’s jollof rice inside the microwave."
"Okayyy," Aria replied cheerfully.
Lila, however, pouted slightly.
"I really want to see Sunny," she muttered sadly. "But I’ll wait until you both get back."
She then looked toward Ivy worriedly.
"Don’t come back too late, Mommy... and please take care of yourself. We’ll miss you."
Ivy’s heart softened once again.
"I’ll be back soon with Sunny," she reassured gently. "Just be good girls for Mommy while I’m away. No fighting, okay?"
"We promise!" the girls replied immediately.
Satisfied, Ivy finally stepped out of the shelter with Sunny following closely behind her.
Soon, she entered her armored vehicle.
Without wasting any more time, Ivy started the engine and drove out of the compound.
The moment the vehicle left, the system automatically activated its protective barrier once more, completely sealing the shelter safely with the children inside.
**
Ivy drove the armored vehicle steadily toward the mountain villa area while Sunny sat alert beside her, his sharp eyes constantly scanning the surroundings through the window.
The roads were eerily quiet.
Abandoned vehicles littered parts of the street while traces of dried blood stained the cracked roads. The once luxurious mountain residential area now looked desolate and lifeless under the morning sunlight.
Soon, Ivy finally arrived at the entrance of the mountain villas.
She parked the armored vehicle before stepping out together with Sunny.
The cold morning wind brushed against her face lightly as she observed the surroundings carefully. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
Sunny," Ivy called softly while crouching slightly beside the military dog.
Sunny immediately looked at her attentively.
"Go scout the area first."
"Woof!"
Without hesitation, Sunny dashed away swiftly into the distance.
It was a military dog after all, and after the system enhanced its intelligence and senses, Sunny had become far more capable than ordinary dogs. Scouting dangerous areas was no problem for her anymore.
