Chapter 41: Chapter 41 I’ve never been more ready!

{Yes, Host. The next phase is Weapons Training.}

{This involves learning how to handle and use various weapons safely and effectively. The goal is to ensure that you can use any weapon without hesitation.}

Ivy’s gaze sharpened.

{Close Combat which is also known as Hand-to-Hand Combat or CQC }

{This includes punching, kicking, grappling, disarming opponents, and fighting in tight or confined spaces.}

{I hope you understand that this will primarily apply when dealing with humans.}

Ivy stilled slightly.

{Scheming humans. Dangerous humans. Individuals who can be even more ruthless than monsters.}

A brief silence followed.

{You will encounter them.}

Ivy’s expression darkened just a little.

"Oh, I know..." she replied quietly.

{This training ensures survival when weapons are unavailable.}

Ivy nodded her head in understanding.

{Next is Field Tactics & Strategy. This is where intelligence becomes crucial.}

{It includes movement in dangerous environments, ambush and counter-ambush techniques, using cover and concealment, and reading terrain effectively.}

Ivy folded her arms lightly, listening carefully.

{The purpose is to fight smart not just hard.}

That line lingered.

And Ivy nodded slowly.

"Yes... that makes sense."

Ding!

{Do you understand everything, Host?}

A small smile tugged at Ivy’s lips.

"Oh, I understand," she replied, though there was a hint of challenge in her tone now. She tilted her head slightly, raising an eyebrow.

"Ten days... right?" she asked.

Her voice lowered just a fraction. ƒгeewёbnovel.com

"Can I really finish all of this in ten days?"

Her throat tightened slightly as she swallowed.

"Because I’m pretty sure..." she added with a faint exhale, "you still have more to list even after this."

{It is a ten-day challenge, Host.}

{A reward package will be granted upon successful completion of the training.}

"I see..." Ivy murmured, letting out a slow, heavy sigh.

She pushed herself up to her feet, her posture straightening as something fierce settled into her eyes.

"Then let’s begin," she said firmly.

Her voice carried quiet determination.

"What do you think?" she added, a faint smile touching her lips. "Time isn’t waiting for me."

Her gaze hardened with purpose.

"I’ll do whatever it takes to protect my children. They’re my world."

Right before her eyes, a training mat materialized on the ground.

Not far from it, two large five-liter containers of water appeared, placed deliberately as if prepared in advance.

Ivy blinked once, surprised but not shaken.

Instead, a small, excited breath escaped her lips.

"So this is how it starts..." she murmured.

The System spoke again.

{As you are already aware, we will begin with Strength Training.}

A brief pause.

{Are you ready, Host?}

Ivy stepped forward, her feet landing firmly on the mat.

A spark ignited in her eyes as she lifted her head.

"I’ve never been more ready," she replied without hesitation.

Her fists clenched slightly at her sides.Ding!

{The first task in strength training: 50 push-ups, 50 squats, 50 sit-ups.}

"Huh?" Ivy frowned, wiping the sweat from her temple with the back of her hand. "Isn’t that... simple? I’ve always done that even before I got pregnant." She let out a short, breathy laugh, though it lacked confidence. "Yeah, I get weak halfway through sometimes, but I always finish."

Her voice carried determination, but beneath it was a faint tremor she couldn’t quite hide.

Ding!

{Then go ahead and begin. Time is ticking, and you still have numerous tasks ahead. This is merely the starting point.}

Almost instantly, a mat materialized before her.

Ivy didn’t hesitate.

Dropping to her knees, she positioned her hands firmly against the surface and pushed herself into position.

{1... 2... 3... 4...}

At first, it felt normal.....familiar even.

But only for a moment.

"Oh damn..." she gasped under her breath as her arms began to tremble far earlier than expected. "This... this isn’t as easy as before..."

"What?!" Ivy’s head snapped up in disbelief. "I already got to thirty!"

Ding!

{Any interruption during training results in restarting from the beginning. The purpose of this exercise is to build both strength and endurance. If you stop midway, you start again.}

"...Damn it," she muttered under her breath, frustration flashing across her face.

But she didn’t argue again.

Instead, she lowered herself back into position.

{1... 2... 3...}

The first ten came easier this time....her body adjusting, her mind sharper.

By twenty, her arms began to shake again.

By thirty, her breathing turned ragged, each push-up feeling heavier than the last.

But she didn’t stop.

My children...

That single thought burned through her exhaustion like fire.

At forty, her vision blurred, black spots dancing at the edges.

Her arms trembled violently, threatening to give out at any second.

Still, she pushed.

One more.

And another.

And another.
