Chapter 39: Chapter 39 Grade A package contents.

She lifted her head slightly.

"Her name is Hope," Ivy said gently.

The effect was immediate.

Both Aria and Lila’s faces lit up, their smiles widening with pure joy.

"Baby Hope..." Lila whispered, her voice full of wonder as she carefully reached out to touch the baby’s soft cheek. "Can I carry her, Mommy?"

Ivy chuckled softly.

"Of course you can," she replied. "But you have to be very gentle."

With practiced care, Ivy lifted the baby from the bed. She placed a pillow securely behind Lila’s back, making sure she was comfortable before gently settling little Hope into her lap.

Her movements were slow, precise, and filled with experience.

It was the same thing she had done when Lila was born.

The older sibling always carried the newborn first... then the next.

And now, it was Lila’s turn.

"She’s so cute, Mommy..." Aria said, her voice filled with awe as she leaned closer, gently touching the baby’s tiny, pouted lips before brushing her little nose.

Then...

"Wah... wah... wah...!"

Hope suddenly began to cry.

"She’s awake!" Lila exclaimed, her voice tinged with worry as she looked up at Ivy. "She’s hungry! She didn’t wake up because I touched her right?"

Ivy nodded immediately. freewebnøvel.com

"She’s just hungry. I’ll prepare her formula," she said calmly. "Lila, you can feed her first. Then Aria will feed her later, alright?"

Both girls nodded eagerly.

Ivy moved efficiently, grabbing the feeding bottle from the sterilizing machine. She poured in four measured scoops of milk, then carefully mixed warm and cool water until it reached the perfect temperature.

Returning to the bed, she tied a small bib around Hope’s neck before guiding the bottle gently into her mouth.

Lila held the bottle carefully, her small hands steady but cautious under Ivy’s watchful gaze.

The crying stopped.

Hope began to suckle quietly, her tiny fists curling as she fed.

"She’s going to be a foodie, Mommy," Aria said with a grin.

That earned a soft laugh from both Ivy and Lila.

"Looks like it," Ivy replied, amusement dancing in her eyes.

Soon enough, Hope finished feeding. Her tiny body relaxed almost immediately, her eyes fluttering shut as sleep claimed her once again.

Carefully, Ivy lifted her and placed her gently into the crib positioned right beside the bed.

"But I still want to hold her, Mommy..." Lila pouted, her lips sticking out as she watched the baby.

Ivy smiled softly.

"You’ll carry her again when she wakes up," she reassured. "But before that, your sister Aria has to carry her too, okay?"

Lila sighed but nodded reluctantly.

"Alright..."

Ivy then looked at both of them, her expression turning slightly serious but still gentle.

"You two should stay here and watch over your little sister. Don’t wake her up, okay? Mommy needs to rest for a bit."

She paused before adding softly,

"She’s still more familiar with my scent. If she wakes up, she might cry for me."

"We won’t wake her up," Aria said immediately, determination clear in her voice. "You should rest too, Mommy."

Ivy hesitated for a brief second.

Then she shook her head lightly.

"I need to step outside for a moment," she said. "I’ll be right back."

Both girls nodded obediently.

Outside, Ivy let out a slow breath.

"And what’s the first step of this so-called military training?" she muttered, raising an eyebrow as she spoke to the System.

Ding!

{Like I said earlier host... you already earned a Grade A package.}

"Oh, right..." Ivy said, nodding slightly. "I thought that was connected to my children’s reward. You mentioned something about enhanced strength and... something else. You also said I’d see it later."

Ding!

{It is different, Host.}

{Your children’s rewards are being divided among the three of them. Once they begin to showcase their abilities in front of you, you will understand.}

Ivy’s brows furrowed slightly.

"Their abilities...?"

{The System is currently working within their bodies, preparing them for the changes that are about to occur.}

{Before you ask, Host... it is completely painless.}

Ivy’s shoulders visibly relaxed at that.

"I see..." she murmured, placing a hand over her chest as she calmed her breathing.

That was all she needed to hear. It wasn’t painful.

{Should I proceed to display the contents of your Grade A package?}

This time, Ivy didn’t hesitate.

"Yes, please. Show me," Ivy said immediately as she lowered herself onto the wooden bench located in the compound.

Her eyes gleamed with anticipation as she stared at the System interface, waiting.

Ding!

{Reaction Acceleration System.....Boosts reflex speed under danger. Slows perceived time slightly during critical moments.}

Ivy’s brows lifted slightly.

"Hmm..." she hummed under her breath, leaning forward just a little. "That actually sounds... useful."

Before she could dwell on it further....

Ding!

{Impact Resistance Layer.....Reduces damage from falls, blunt force, and weapon recoil.}

"Oh, yeah... yeah, I get it," Ivy muttered, waving her hand lightly as if brushing off the explanation, though her eyes still gleamed with interest. "So the package really does cover everything I’ll need for training..."
