Chapter 37: Chapter 37 Congratulations host.

A loud, piercing cry filled the room.

The sound echoed beautifully in the silence of the bunker.

Ivy froze for a second, her heart skipping a beat.

Then she looked down.

In her arms... was her baby.

Her tiny body was slick with blood and fluid, her little chest rising and falling rapidly as she cried. Soft strands of blonde hair clung to her small head, damp and delicate.

“Oh my goodness...” Ivy’s voice broke instantly, tears spilling freely now. “My sweetheart...”

Her hands trembled as she lifted the baby closer to her face, completely ignoring the blood.

“You’re here... you’re really here...”

She pressed a soft, lingering kiss to the baby’s forehead.

“I did it... we did it...”

The baby’s cries softened slightly at the warmth of her mother’s touch.

{Proceed to clear the airway, Host. Gently wipe the baby’s nose and mouth.}

“Oh....right...”

Still shaking, Ivy quickly used a clean cloth from the prepared items. With the utmost care, she wiped the baby’s nose and mouth, ensuring she could breathe properly.

“There you go... breathe, baby... it’s okay...”

The cries steadied.

Stronger and healthier now.

Ivy let out a relieved breath.

{Clamp and cut the umbilical cord, Host.}

“Okay...”

She reached for the sterilized clamps and scissors that had been prepared. Her hands were still slightly unsteady, but her mind was clearer now.

Carefully, she tied off the cord in two places, just as she remembered... then, taking a deep breath...

Snip.

The connection was severed.

The baby was now fully her own.

Ivy swallowed hard, her chest tightening with emotion. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

After ensuring there was no excessive bleeding, she slowly stood up from the bath, still holding her baby securely against her chest.

The water around her had turned a deep red, but she barely noticed.

Her body still felt strong....far stronger than it had any right to be after something like this. Her enhanced strength was the only thing keeping her steady.

“Let’s get you cleaned up...” she whispered softly.

She gently rinsed her baby with warm water, careful and slow, supporting her fragile body at all times. Using a soft cloth, she cleaned away the blood, speaking softly the entire time.

“It’s okay... Mommy’s here... you’re safe...”

Once clean, she wrapped her baby in a soft towel and carefully dried her.

Then she dressed her in a tiny pink dress, soft white socks and a small cap to keep her warm.

Only then... did Ivy finally pause, looking at the newborn with so much love in her eyes.

“She’s... so beautiful...” she whispered, her voice filled with awe.

The baby had already begun to calm down, her cries fading into soft, sleepy breaths. Her tiny lips were slightly pouted, her little hands loosely fisted beside her head.

“A healthy baby...” Ivy murmured, her thumb gently brushing her cheek. “Even at seven months...”

Her heart swelled painfully with love.

Ding!

{Congratulations, Host.}

{An A-grade package has been prepared for you.}

“Huh?” Ivy blinked, still overwhelmed. “What kind of package....?”

Before she could finish...

A soft blue light suddenly enveloped the baby.

“What...?!”

The glow pulsed gently, wrapping around her small body before slowly fading away.

Ding!

{Congratulations, Host. Your children have been infused with enhanced strength, advanced cognitive development, and foundational martial arts instincts.}

“...You’re not serious right now.” Ivy raised an eyebrow, letting out a disbelieving scoff.

{You will see the results soon, Host. For now, prioritize recovery. Take a bath. I will handle sanitation and prepare nutrient-rich food to support lactation.}

Ivy exhaled slowly.

“...Fine.”

She carefully placed her now-sleeping baby into a small prepared bed right beside her own, making sure she was warm and comfortable.

Only then did she head for a proper bath.

By the time she returned...

The blood-stained bath was completely gone, as if it had never existed.

In its place, the room was clean and calm.

A tray of food sat neatly on the table....fried eggs, potatoes, fresh fruits, water, and a drink. ƒreewebηoveℓ.com

The aroma alone made her stomach growl loudly.

“...I didn’t realize how hungry I was.”

She quickly got dressed, then sat beside her baby, her eyes constantly drifting back to the tiny figure as she began to eat.

A soft, genuine smile spread across her face.

In her past life... she never had this.

She never got the chance to breastfeed.

Never got the chance to watch her baby sleep peacefully or got to hold her like this... for this long.

But now...

“She’s here...” Ivy whispered softly, her voice filled with quiet gratitude.

Once she finished eating, exhaustion finally began to settle in.

She lay down carefully but sleep didn’t come easily.

Every hour, the baby stirred and every time, Ivy woke up.

She breastfed her, learning slowly, adjusting, holding her close in the quiet stillness of the night.

Despite the exhaustion... she didn’t complain.

Not even once.

By morning, only then did Ivy finally drift into a deeper sleep just as the baby rested peacefully beside her, full and content.

“Mommy...?”

A soft voice pulled her back.

Tap. Tap.

Ivy slowly opened her eyes, her body still heavy with fatigue.

Standing beside the bed were Aria and Lila.

Their faces lit up with wide, excited smiles.

They were staring at the baby.

“Is that our sister, Mommy?” Aria asked eagerly, already climbing onto the bed, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she gazed at the sleeping baby.

“Yes...” Ivy’s voice softened instantly, emotion swelling in her chest as tears threatened to fall. “She is. Mommy gave birth to your little sister.”

Ding!

{A ten day challenge has been triggered now that you have given birth, Host.}

“What....?!”

Ivy’s eyes snapped open fully, shock and disbelief flashing across her face as she stared at the system interface.
