Chapter 180: The Journey of Two Destined Hearts
It was 3:30 pm already, the long-awaited time. Their bags had been taken to the Sky Lounge. Bernard was in the data chamber getting weather information as requested by the pilot who went down to the skyport to get all the paperwork at dispatch and the overflight and landing permit. The crew and operations crew were already in the Sky Lounge arranging the flight.
Brandon was in his chamber taking a nap after a long, stressful day with the crew members. Mrs. Thompson and the maids were in Emma’s bedchamber, dressing her up. She looked at herself in the mirror and smiled. She couldn’t believe she was staring at the same Emma who was as wretched as a church mouse a few moons ago.
"Naomi, see who that is," she said when the doorbell chimed.
Naomi hurried out. A moment later, she returned carrying a golden bag.
Her shoulders drooped as she stepped into the closet. She had been down all day after Emma crossed her name off the list of staff traveling with them.
"What’s in the bag?" She asked.
"I don’t know," Naomi responded.
"Who gave it to you?"
"Bernard."
"Alright, drop it on the sofa."
Naomi dropped the bag and left the bedchamber. She gestured to Mrs. Thompson and Paige too and they also left the bedchamber. She carefully opened the bag and smiled. It was Brandon’s admiral outfit. He would be in his complete military outfit on December 30. He looks so desirable in the outfit the last time he wore it. She just doesn’t know why he hates wearing it whenever the need calls for it.
Brooklyn’s video call came in while she was still admiring the outfit. She picked up and hung the device back on its hanger. She looked at Brooklyn and Ken and grinned. Brooklyn was lying on her stomach while Ken relaxed firmly on her back, placing his palms on Brooklyn’s.
"What’s up, guys?" She asked.
"Moonlight, you look good!" Ken said.
"Thank you, Ken."
"Emma, I pictured you in the labour chamber last moonfall, pushing the pup out. Goddess! I can’t wait to see this pup."
"Brooklyn! We are just a few weeks old!" She said a bit louder.
"When are you guys leaving?" Ken asked.
"In an hour."
"Would you make love to him at the beach?" Brooklyn winked at her. Ken kissed her neck and got down from their bed.
"I’m gonna leave you guys now," he said, and they laughed. Brooklyn returned her face and repeated her question.
"I would love to!"
"Emma, you need to try it! Goddess! It’s amazing."
"Hold on! Have you done it before?"
"The day you and Brandon visited us. We went back to the beach after seeing you guys off."
"What happened?"
"He wrapped his hands around my waist and kissed my neck. I yielded immediately. Before I knew it, we were on the beach mat. He was taking me in every way he could until we lay on our backs, panting on the beach mat as we looked at the stars. It seemed only our unclad selves and souls remained in the surrounding. Emma, it was an amazing experience. Ken and I are planning to spend our 31st night on the same beach," Brooklyn said.
"Wow! What an amazing experience!"
"Where will you guys spend your honeymoon?"
"Greendor Castle," she responded and grinned as she imagined how bad Lunara would feel when she saw them in the news. Moving into the castle with Brandon had always been her dream. She heard the sound of her vision hearth that was in her chamber and stood up from the dressing sofa bed. She thought Brandon was awake already.
"I’ll call you as soon as we get to Milan."
"Emma, buy the sexiest wedding gown ever made," Brooklyn said before hanging up.
She turned and began to walk towards the chamber, holding the package she had just received.
She saw Elara relaxing on her bed instead. Her face looked so bright as always. She was obviously happy and there was no sign of depression in her appearance anymore. She dropped her mate’s clothes and also noticed a big catalog on the table. She picked the book up and joined her on the bed.
"You have been extremely happy since we came back from the palace."
"Who wouldn’t be? You are the light that lightened up our kingdom. Your presence changed everything. Thank you, Emma. I will remain grateful to you forever."
She smiled and placed her palm on hers. She was happy the hide-and-seek had ended. With the king’s approval, they are free to display their love anywhere, at any time.
"You guys just disappeared as soon as we came back from the palace," she said, hoping to squeeze some gist out of her lips.
"Moonheart," she smiled, mimicking her sibling.
"I was at his house and for once, since I have been going there, I was relaxed," she smiled again.
"You longed for him, right?" She whined.
"Yes, but I want our first love to be special and memorable. Emma, He has really tortured me enough. I watched him burn with passion for me. My presence turns him on, but I was scared of my father and Brandon. I couldn’t do anything. I’m glad it’s over," she took a deep breath. "Emma, you don’t know what you did for us," she said with a flat tone.
"You want a memorable night with him? Don’t worry, I got you covered. I booked the best resting chamber for you guys."
"Thank you, Emma. Our first night is going to be on the beach when you guys must have gone to bed," she said and rolled her eyes. Emma threw her head backward and grinned loudly. Apparently, she overhead Brooklyn.
"Don’t worry, I’m not Brooklyn. I’ll give you the full gossip," she said, took the catalog she was holding, and began to open it.
"One of the high Luna’s maids delivered it a few minutes ago."
"What’s that?" She asked, moving her head closer.
"It is a comprehensive list of acceptable wedding gown styles for the royals."
She moved closer and began to flip through the pages as she tried to choose the best.
"All you have to do is choose the one you like and the designer will get it ready within forty-eight hours."
"Alright. My mate’s admiral outfit has arrived."
"You guys are almost ready for the royal mating."
"We have less than three weeks," she said.
They left the chamber when Bernard announced the arrival of the pilot. She walked straight to her mate’s bedchamber. He was standing in front of a long mirror as he buttoned his sleeves. He grinned as soon as Emma appeared in the mirror.
"Starlit, your outfit is here."
"The king told me a few minutes ago."
"We are almost ready."
"Don’t worry, this is going to be the last stress you will go through," he said and kissed her forehead.
At 4:30 PM, they took off. They spent about six hours in the air. However, due to the time zone, they landed in Milan around 7 pm, making their journey seem as though they had just spent about three hours.
They went through immigration quickly. An Italian adventure assistant approached them as they waited for a Rolls-Royce chauffeur from the beach resting den. The Italian adventure assistant gave them his contact and offered to take them around the city the next day, but they declined.
After a few minutes, two Roll-Royces drove into the premium parking lot. They hopped in and drove out. Emma didn’t know how Bernard managed to organize everything so perfectly. He showed her the resting den’s website and the chambers he booked. She just confirmed their booking and canceled the chamber he booked for himself. She wanted him and Elara to use one chamber.
"Let’s go down," she said to her mate when they arrived at the Hotel Principe di Savoia.
One of Milan’s most iconic grand hotels, long associated with royalty, celebrities, and diplomats. Classic neoclassical luxury.
"Hold on," he said and wound down when he saw Bernard walking towards them.
"I have confirmed our reservations, Alpha. Leo and Teddy have also taken the luggage to the chamber, alpha," he said with a slight bow.
"Alright," Brandon said and took Emma’s hand as they got down. Bernard walked towards the second car and helped Elara out.
"I’m going to miss him," he said. It was her first time seeing Brandon appreciate Bernard.
"Do not allow him to go then. The estate can accommodate all of us."
"He needs to raise a family," he said as they walked towards the tall building that stood in front of them.
They proceeded to the entry hall decked out in marble and gold. The hall led to royal suites, which were designed for royals. She looked at the grand staircase and felt like using it. Brandon grinned and held her hand firmly. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com
"The royal suite is on the twenty-fifth floor, so we are using the elevator."
"Welcome to Hotel Principe di Savoia," echoed a small plump receptionist that was exclusively in charge of the royal suite.
"Thank you," Brandon said, signing a paper she rotated.
"Enjoy your stay," Moon Prince Brandon Oliver Frostbane," the jovial receptionist smiled. They waved at her and proceeded to their chambers.
