Chapter 204: Chapter 204

Aria’s POV

My wolf stirred violently, claws scraping against my ribs in warning, but before I could react, Nathan’s arms were already around me. The ground vanished beneath my feet as he lifted me effortlessly, as if I weighed nothing at all.

The sudden change in height made my breath catch.

“Nathan! Are you insane?!” I shouted.

He didn’t answer.

He was cold. His face was carved from stone, his jaw rigid, his eyes fixed straight ahead as he carried me swiftly down the corridor.

Realization struck like ice water.

He was taking me to his bedroom.

Panic slammed into me. I kicked and struggled, my legs thrashing wildly. “Let go! Nathan, let go!”

My wolf howled now, frantic, sensing danger, sensing loss of control—his and mine.

“If you don’t let go,” I gasped, desperation clawing up my throat, “I’ll... I’ll hate you forever!”

That finally made him stop.

He turned his head and looked at me.

I froze.

Those eyes weren’t human anymore. They were burning with his wolf. My heart lurched painfully.

Then he smiled.

It wasn’t gentle. It wasn’t sane. It was dark, obsessive and frighteningly calm.

“Then hate me,” he said softly.

The door slammed shut behind us with a thunderous bang.

The sound echoed through my skull, and my thoughts spiraled into something bleak and terrifying. Before I could gather myself, he tossed me onto the bed. The mattress dipped sharply beneath my weight as he tore at his tie, his movements rough and unrestrained.

My wolf surged forward instinctively, rage and fear flooding my veins.

“Nathan, you’ve lost your mind!” I shouted, scrambling backward. “If you touch me, I’ll never forgive you!”

My words were silenced as our lips met in a forceful collision.

My eyes widened, filled with terror, fixed on Nathan whose eyes were closed as he ravaged my mouth.

“Na...than...mmph...”

The air around him felt heavy and oppressive, like a wolf on the edge of losing himself. Power rolled off him in suffocating waves, pressing me down even before his body did.

I struggled, my heart pounding so loudly it drowned out everything else. My hands shook as I tried to push him away, every instinct screaming.

My hands were pinned above my head rendering me helpless like a fish on a chopping board.

He kept his eyes closed, either lost in the moment or refusing to witness my pain.

The kiss deepened, his breath growing heavy. I was breathless.

He stopped suddenly.

His breath was warm against my skin, uneven, restrained with visible effort.

“Hate me,” he murmured hoarsely, his voice cracked and rough, “but don’t let go... not in this lifetime.”

There was no triumph in his words, only pain and desperation.

My wolf growled low in my chest.

Nathan’s lips, now scorching, trailed down my neck, lingering as if savoring a delicacy, unable to pull away. His mouth moved incessantly, his free hand tugging at my clothes.

"No!" I screamed, my legs kicking wildly in attempts to dislodge him.

Yet our size difference was too great, Nathan pinning me down further, using his body to still my struggles.

"Rip—"

The sound of tearing fabric echoed, and the sudden chill across my chest made me scream in agony.

Why was he doing this to me?

I tried to shield my exposed shoulders and chest, but Nathan’s grip was unyielding.

I turned my face away, my breath shuddering, despair creeping in like cold water filling my lungs. I felt trapped and powerless, as if I were sinking into an abyss with no ground beneath my feet.

Nathan’s POV

My lips stopped inches from her skin.

Something was wrong.

My wolf, wild and raging moments ago, suddenly stilled, my instincts sharpening. I felt it then, it was unmistakable. Warmth against my skin that had nothing to do with desire.

I shifted slightly, my breath hitching.

No... that wasn’t imagined.

She was crying. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

I opened my eyes.

The sight nearly split my heart in two.

Aria lay beneath me, hair tangled, her face drained of color except for the harsh red staining her cheeks. Tears clung stubbornly to her lashes, trailing silently down into her hairline. My chest constricted painfully. The scent of fear, despair and heartbreak in the air, hit my wolf harder than any blade.

Her clothes... I looked down and felt something twist violently inside me.

They were torn.

Barely clinging to her, exposing skin that should never have been seen like this...by force, by anger, by me.

I released her wrists instantly, as if burned.

The moment my grip loosened, she shoved me away with all the strength she had left. I staggered back a step. The movement caused her damaged clothes to slip further, and she froze for half a second before snatching the sheets around herself.

She wrapped them tight, like armor.

When she looked at me again, there was no fear left.

Only hatred.

“I—”

I tried to speak, to apologize. freewebnσvel.cøm

Nothing came out.

It was as if an invisible hand had closed around my throat, crushing every word before it could form. My wolf whimpered low in my chest, wounded and confused, retreating from the damage it had helped cause.

I stared at her face, the red was gone now.

She looked very pale.

“Nathan,” she said quietly, every word sharper than claws, “I will never forgive you in this lifetime.”
