Chapter 196: Chapter 196

The journey was remniscent of the journey they made in their first year although that was for the Sports Ball.

The carriages were driven directly to the sports complex of Omega Institute which was modeled similarly to that of Alpha Academy. The students of the Institute were already standing in an open space waiting on their arrival so that they could begin the sport competitons.

After the introductory ceremony was all done, they all naturally separated to find the various fields were their respective sports would take place. Henri right away went off to find Dodie, Claude following him.

Louis’ sole focus was to find the outdoor kitchen so before Dio could stop him, he had already disappeared into the crowd. He couldn’t even follow after his enthusiastic boyfriend because Alois and Dominique immediately seeked him out and dragged him off to the archery range.

Errol went off as well to the running track to meet up with the other members of his club, as well as those who who be participating in the races.

Audie rubbed his hands together deviously as their numbers thinned, "Alright, I’m going off to find Fleur." He said decisively.

"No you’re not." Jacques immediately cut him off.

Audie looked thoughtful, "You’re right, I should cast my net wider. Want to pick up girls with me, Vale?"

Jac’s sound of protest was muffled by Nael’s hand over his mouth as his friend dragged him off to the outdoor swimming pool.

"I don’t think Jacques would like that," Valentin said dryly.

Audie shot a look at Alexander who had been standing quietly the entire time, "You’d rather spent time with him than me?" He demanded, sounding betrayed.

Valentin’s expression darkened, "I never said that..." He quickly refuted, turning to Alexander. "Why are you still here anyway?"

Alexander shrugged nonchalantly, "I don’t know my way around."

"Neither do any of us, just go off somewhere," He jabbed a finger at him, looking past him to find a crowd of girls gathering a little distance away, clearly because of him. "Or even better, go meet them."

Alexander coolly looked behind him, ignoring the excited squeals from the Omegas. "I’ll pass."

"That’s not an option,"

"So you’d rather pick up girls with him?" Alexander clarified, tilting his head in Audie’s direction.

Audie swung an arm around Valentin’s shoulders, "Of course he would, and you can’t come along."

Valentin shoved Audie’s arm off him, "I’m not doing that either," He huffed, walking off. "Do whatever you want, I’ll do some sightseeing."

Audie immediately hurried after him, "Don’t be like that Vale, I’ll even leave some girls for you."

"Shut up," He tossed over a shoulder, noticing that it wasn’t just Audie following behind him but Alexander was also right behind him. "Don’t follow me!"

Neither of them listened to him though, and it didn’t help that the crowd of girls followed right along. All Valentin wanted was to spend this sport competition peacefully but that was looking to be an impossible feat.

Audie was manageable but adding Alexander to the mix was just too cruel. Valentin had been very proficient in keeping hidden the secret that they were roommates from everyone else - well except Audie.

Nothing had changed between them after all, there was no reason to make it public knowledge. A few shared kisses wasn’t enough to make them friends, after all, they were barely acquaintances.

It wasn’t difficult for Henri to find Dodie, the energetic Omega was bright and loud. She was talking animatedly and gesturing frantically to another Omega who looked done with her antics, while a quietly stomping horse stood beside them.

"I told you I wasn’t going to participate in the race this time, why didn’t you get someone to ride Bear instead? You can’t leave Bear out of the competitions, it’s the one thing he looks forward to the most."

The Omega listened with an exasperated expression, "And as I told you, he doesn’t let anyone else ride him. What was I supposed to do? Either you ride him or he’s sitting out."

Dodie calmed down somewhat, "But he lets you ride him though," She pointed out, patting the other Omega’s shoulder. "Do me a favor and ride him in my place, Captain." She said cordially.

The Captain of the Omega Institute Horse riding club just smacked her hand away, "No can do, I’m not racing."

"But-"

"Give it up."

"Irene..." Dodie whined, pouting.

"That only works on Fleur," Irene crossed her arms, looking past Dodie to find the Prince walking up. She was aware of their friendship so she informed Dodie of their presence.

"Henri! It’s good to see ya," She whipped around with a grin, immediately forgetting the cause she was fighting for. "It’s a surprise to see you without the others and..." She trailed off when she caught sight of Claude, shooting him a salute.

Henri wasn’t as happy to see her, "You’re not participating in the competitions?" He asked, sounding a little heart broken.

Dodie looked guilty about it for the first time, she had been unfazed even when the entire club had tried to convince her otherwise but she was riding buddies with Henri, it was their thing to win competitions together.

She scratched her hair, she had cut her blonde hair short, the strands sitting just above her shoulders now. "Yeah, sorry but I’ve got to help Fleur out."

Henri got over his despair quickly, the only reason his club had been able to convince him to race was because he thought that Dodie would be joining as well. "What’s she doing?" He asked curiously.

"Cooking," Dodie announced with a proud smirk, looking far too proud for the word she spoke.

A light bulb went behind Henri’s eyes, Louis was also cooking, maybe he could-

"I’m afraid not, Your Highness," Pierre appeared out of thin air, "You absolutely must race, think of the people."

Henri scowled, "Don’t call me that... where did you even come from?"

Pierre waved that off, wisely keeping his distance from Claude who shot him daggers with a look. "That’s not important, why don’t you set about picking a horse?"

"I could help with that!" Irene chimed in, smoothening out the wrinkles in her dark green skirt. ƒree𝑤ebnσvel.com

Pierre immediately gave her his attention, "You must be the captain, I’m Pierre, I’m also the captain of the Academy’s horse riding club."

"Irene," She replied, turning around briskly to take the reins of the horse that had been quietly standing all this time to head in the direction of what looked to be the stables. "Come with me, I’ll show you the way."

"Irene! Don’t forget about Bear!" Dodie cupped her hands around her mouth to call to her friend.

Irene didn’t even make a gesture to show that she heard but she saw her pat the horse’s coat and she knew that although she had been adamant about it, she would ride Bear anyway.

Now that that was resolved, she just had to go meet up with Fleur at the outdoor kitche- "Errol!" She called excitedly, sprinting over before the Alpha could even react to her voice.

"Don’t run around when it’s so crowded, Dodie." He scolded lightly when she all but tackled him.

Dodie didn’t look the least bit remorseful, "Sorry, sorry... you’re running today, right? I’ll come cheer you on... where’s Valentin? And the others? And my dumb brother?"

Errol couldn’t get a word in because she kept talking swiftly, "I’m running, yes, and the others are all fine but shouldn’t you be with Henri?" He asked managing to pry himself free of her tight hug.

"I just met him but I won’t be racing this time, I’ve got to help Fleur cook... oh shit, I almost forgot! I’ve got to go!" She said in a rush, darting off.

"Dodie! Wait! You don’t know how to cook!" Errol called after her but she was already long gone. He would definitely need to go check up on them as soon as he got the chance to, Dodie was dangerous around things that could be potentially used as weapons.

He would have liked to follow her right away but the captain of the track club was already calling him over so he had to go. He could almost see the swimming pool from the running track, he wondered how Nael was doing.

His boyfriend dreaded going to his club or being close to his team members and Errol couldn’t really blame him but they were only so clingy because he was their favorite. Nael didn’t see it that way though.

"Nael!" Kais called in a singsong voice as soon as the other Alpha got to the outdoor swimming pool with a struggling Jacques in tow.

Nael didn’t try to hide the full body shiver that engulfed him, shoving Jacques right at the deputy captain the moment he bounded over with a, "This is my friend, Jac, he’s just as good as swimming as I am, maybe even better."

Kais’ eyes went rounded at this as he changed his trajectory and hung off Jacques’ neck instead, "Really? Let’s race!" He suggested with an almost manic excitement, trying to take Jacques’ clothes off.

"I owe you one, man." Nael shot finger guns at Jacques, quickly making himself scarce while Jacques was slowly beginning to realize the extent of the trouble Nael had just dumped in his lap.

Another Alpha was running towards them in the distance, a distraught expression on his face. "Deputy Captain! Please stop harrasing the members!"
