Chapter 152: Chapter 152
Henri placed his hands over his face as he hurried to his dorm room, anger slowly filling him. He had tolerated those two’s presence for long enough even though he had no reason to.
He would just have to tell them to stay away from him, he wasn’t responsible for either of them and it was time he made that known.
So when they came to get him for dinner, he opened the door to them much to their surprise. Usually they would have to hang around till Louis came over.
"I don’t want to have a meal with either of you." Henri said bluntly, crossing his arms. "Don’t you have better things to do than bother me?"
Alexander immediately bowed, "Pardon my presumptuousness," He said smoothly and Henri could swear that he caught the tail ends of a smile on his face.
He left after his apology, Claude seeming to drink him in with his eyes before turning away and doing the same.
Henri frowned, that was far easier than he expected it to be. So all he had to do was just tell them to leave him all this time?
Or so he thought... Although he had chased them both off, he seemed to bump into them everywhere he went. Well it was mostly bumping into Alexander and then Claude would show up.
It was ridiculous...
It was bad enough that he had to sit right in between them both during classes and also share the same club with them but finding them everywhere else was starting to tell on him.
Although he had told them expressively to stay away, they ate all their meals together. It was almost like the annoying duo were waiting patiently for Henri to show up and pick a table - he was more than often with Louis and Dio. freewebnøvel.coɱ
As soon as he sat down, Alexander would pop out of nowhere with his annoying ’What a pleasant coincidence, Your Highness’ quip. Henri was another meal away from lashing out at him.
And to make it worse, Claude always seemed to be attached to the other Alpha although he hardly spoke. As a matter of fact, they both spoke little. It was like have two intimidating mannequins share a meal with him.
Did they even want his company at this point? Or were they doing it to get back at him?
It was in this manner that the first field trip of the Year rolled around. It was as much of a buzz as it was in their first year but there was substantially less excitement in the senior classes.
Only the first years who were yet to experience it were over the moon, having nothing to go on but stories from the students in the higher classes.
Alexander already invited himself into Henri’s group the moment that it was announced, and Claude was collateral damage. He didn’t once let the Alpha Prince out of his sight, especially when it involved Henri.
"Dio says he wants to go hunting with Alois on the camping trip." Louis reported to Henri, disapproval on his face.
Henri turned to the other Alpha with a curious expression, "Really? Does the academy approve of that?"
"They don’t have to know," Dio deadpanned.
Henri shrugged, "Fair enough."
Louis shot him a look of disbelief, "What do you mean ’fair enough’? They intend to hunt."
Henri looked like he was trying to decipher exactly what he said wrong, "Wild animals I’m sure, right Dio?"
Dio nodded resolutely.
Louis looked flabbergasted, "What else did you think they would be huntin-" He cut himself off, "That’s not the issue here, they intend to hunt with weapons on a camping trip." He enunciated.
Henri listened intently, "They’re not hurting anyone though." freēwēbηovel.c૦m
"You think? What if they shoot someone from another group?" He nearly threw his hands up in frustration.
"Our campsites are too far apart for that to happen," Henri countered, remaining very calm, a stark contrast to Louis.
Louis huffed out a breath, knowing that it was a lost cause. Only Henri would have been able to convince them to not go through with the plan of hunting but if the Omega saw nothing wrong with it then Louis had no choice but to give in.
"We already have two idiots with weapons, I hope those two are not intending to show up armed." Louis spoke up, jabbing a confrontational finger at Claude and Alexander.
Henri opened his mouth to respond and then clammed it shut again, because he couldn’t say for sure and he wasn’t sure he wanted to find out so he didn’t ask.
"I knew it!" Louis exclaimed, he always had it out for the two because of how much they pestered Henri. "If you show up with a weapon, you’re getting kicked out of the group." He leaned over in their direction to get his point across properly.
They were currently having midday meal at the cafeteria and the rest of the students present in the cafeteria were buzzing with in information they had just recently received.
"That’s hardly fair, you let him bring a bow." Alexander casually said.
Louis gasped, "So you admit to having weapons?"
"Are bows the limit? Could we get away with swords?" Claude chimed in, looking very serious.
Louis was getting more concerned the longer their conversation went on, "Why would you bring- where would you even fit a sword?"
"So if we can sneak it in, we get a pass." Claude deduced.
Alexander shrugged, "Sounds fair."
"Wait, wait- no..." Louis panicked.
Henri slowly turned to the side to look at his blustering friend, "I thought you were against weapons?"
"I am," He half cried, Dio comforting him by patting his hand. "Can we start this conversation over?"
"We don’t need to, we understand that the weapon limit is a cannon." Alexander said helpfully.
Claude tutted in disappointment, making Louis look at him in horror. "You have a cannon?!"
"I don’t think you should be asking him that," Henri tried to curb the quickly escalating situation.
"You know what? Don’t answer that." Louis quickly corrected himself. "We’re no longer having this conversation."
