Chapter 122: Chapter 122
"Stop wandering, Mom could be here any moment." Errol scolded Audie who kept endlessly trying to get Valentin to go exploring with him. Nael stood obediently beside him, keeping their hands joined.
Errol was too busy keeping his eyes on Audie to notice his mother and younger sister walking up, Nael would have been the one to see them if he hadn’t been also occupied with staring at Errol.
Celine was the one that alerted them, she pulled her hand from her mother’s hold and ran across the space between them, calling Errol’s name. It was clear who her favorite was.
Nael quickly let go of Errol’s hand when he whipped around at the familiar voice calling his name, his almond eyes growing bigger. For some reason, he glanced at Lili at that point and found her staring right at him with knowing eyes, it made his heart freeze over.
"Celine!" Errol called back with equal amounts of happiness, hurrying to pick up his sister who was already jumping in excitement.
She held his face tightly with her chubby palms, laughing so widely that her face crinkled. "I missed you!"
"I missed you more... Mom." He smiled in a more subdued voice to Lili who had just walked up then.
Lili looked at him searchingly with concern in her blue eyes, seeming to look for something. Whatever she saw satisfied her because her smile lit up her beautiful face. "You look well. Hello to you too Nael." She bestowed the same smile on Nael who had walked up then, immediately looking around. "Where’s Audie? And Valentin?"
Errol did the same as his mother, Celine still held in his arms. "They were here just a moment ago," He sighed, worry lines between his eyes. "I shouldn’t have taken my eyes off them."
"No, no, you don’t need to blame yourself, we’ll just leave them behind," Lili said without missing a beat.
"Wait, what?" Valentin seemed to appear out of the swarming crowd, horror settling on his features.
Audie had a firm hold on his hand, "She was just joking, I can’t believe you fell for that," He equally stepped out of where they had both been hiding.
"Enough pranks," Lili scolded. "We need to be on time to pick up Dodie sp hoist your luggage, we’ll be leaving for the carriage right now." She said in a serious tone, taking Celine who still clung to Errol tightly.

Around that same time, Louis and Dio also met up with Louis’ mother Gisèle.
"Louis! Dio!" The tall, slender lady with honey-blonde hair had her arms spread out to hug them both at once.
Identical calls of, "Mom!" rang out, the both of them stepping into her hug.
"You both look so healthy," She stepped back to say with a beaming smile on her face, pinching both their cheeks.
"That’s because of Lou," Dio said fluidly.
Gisèle paused at this, her dark eyes going wide like she was just realizing something. "D-Dio? Did you call me Mom?" She asked in a shaky voice, more shaken by that than the fact that Dio had said a full sentence to her.
Dio started to panic at the tears in her eyes, he wasn’t sure which answer would fix the situation.
"You did!" Gisèle answered her own question pulling Dio into another teary hug, she was tall enough to properly hold him.
Louis just stood off to the side with a proud smile on his face, his smile falling off when somebody walked up. "Mr. Lambert." He said coldly, straightening his shoulders.
Dio visibly stiffened in Gisèle’s hold but the older Omega didn’t care, hugging him till she had her fill.
"Mrs. Dufort." The grimy newcomer nodded politely, his voice had a nasal quality to it. "I’m here to pick up young master Dio."
Louis openly glared at the Alpha, looking like he was barely holding back from lunging at him.
Gisèle finally stepped back. "That sounds like a shame because he’s coming home with me." She said confidently, keeping a tight hold on Dio’s wrist.
"I’m afraid it’s not up to you to make such decisions..."
"No, no, I’m pretty sure it is." Dio interrupted calmly, ignoring how hearing his voice made the older Alpha’s eyes bulge out. "I’ll be going with them Georges, make yourself useful and return to the mansion."
Lambert spluttered for a full minute and was still unable to string together a full sentence.
Dio didn’t give him the chance to put himself together, "Mom? Louis, let’s get going, I’m hungry." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
Gisèle’s smile returned with full force, " Of course, I woke up earlier today to prepare a small feast for you two." She said happily, leading the way back to the carriage with both her sons in tow.
She didn’t even bother giving Lambert one last look as she left, rattling off to them both about how her day went.
Louis was the only one to look behind them, Dio had seemed unbothered so it eased some of his worries but not all of them. Mr. Lambert was one of Dio’s caretakers and it was no secret that they had all tried especially hard to kill him while he was growing up.
They eventually stopped trying when they found out that he couldn’t speak. If Louis hadn’t found Dio, they would have locked him off in a basement room in his own mansion and treated him lower than cattle.
He and his mother had been constantly fighting for Dio ever since the first time they were chanced to meet. His caretakers tolerated it because Dio didn’t seem to be making any improvements even with all that they did, they still intended to live off his inheritance.
"Lou? Do you need my help?" Dio asked.
Louis realized that he had fallen behind because he was lost in his thoughts, he looked up to find his mother and Dio waiting for him a little distance in front with concerned looks on their faces.
Dio would be fine, he didn’t need his caretakers anymore, he had them like he always did.
"Sorry, got lost in thought." He smiled nervously, hurrying to catch up with them.
