Chapter 509: EE

Grace looked at Dawn in a daze. The young man before her was completely different from what she knew. Earlier, when he fought with those goons, he radiated a confidence that had never existed before. The cops had not even left the compound when a black sedan entered from the other side.

Saffron got down from the back door and rushed up to Dawn. She checked out the young man and asked, "What happened?"

Dawn shrugged his shoulders and said, "I also want to know the whole thing. Grace, please come along. This issue has escalated beyond what you or anyone can tolerate."

His voice was not as stern as earlier. Dawn had realized earlier that people in this world do not have complete control of their emotions, and they let their emotions get the best of them. He realized that he needed to soothe Grace before he could ask her anything, and it worked.

Grace calmed down after he subtly laid down the facts before her. She nodded, and her eyes regained some clarity. Saffron watched all this from the side and followed Dawn upstairs. They all used the elevator, and Saffron asked suddenly, "When did you learn to fight like that? You know that you do not look any less than a movie star?"

Dawn chuckled and said, "I practiced at home. Such skills should only be used when they are needed."

Saffron scoffed and said, "Dawn, you better stop mystifying things. If I find you are still hiding something, I will beat you up."

Dawn smiled and did not take her words seriously. Grace stood silently behind them. Soon, they arrived at the seventh floor. They all came to Dawn’s house. The young man said, "Take a seat." freewёbn૦νeɭ.com

He went to the kitchen and bought two glasses of water for the girls. He did not rush them Grace with questions but gazed at Saffron. The girl sighed and asked, "Grace, we are all classmates. So, you can relax and tell us what happened between you two."

Grace raised her head and asked, "Nothing happened, Saffron, and that is why I am so troubled. I have only ever come across that person one time."

Dawn asked, "Where?"

His word was concise, and he did not wish to dwell on the trivia. Grace looked at him and said, "A few months ago, I visited the Temple of Sun with my mother."

Saffron raised her brow and asked, "Is it the Sun Temple in the western suburbs?"

Grace nodded, and Dawn furrowed his brows, "Why would a goon visit a religious place? This does not seem to add up."

The chubby girl grabbed a cushion from her side and flung it at Dawn’s head. The latter caught the cushion and asked, "What was that for?"

Saffron scowled and said, "Do you not know that behind the Sun Temple is a burial ground? I have heard a rumor that the people who Onii kill or abduct are all taken to that burial ground."

The moment Grace heard this, her face was drenched in color. Dawn leaned back in his seat and gazed at the ceiling. He said, "Earlier, when the cops were taking him away, that guy said something about his master coming for us. Do you have any ideas about that?"

Saffron took out her tablet from the side bag. She tapped the screen a few times before she handed it to Dawn. She said, "I have no idea. There was no such thing in all the information I have found on him."

Dawn nodded and said, "Well, we cannot do much in this case. However, Saffie, can you ensure he stays in prison this time."

Grace also looked at the chubby girl with a pleading gaze. Saffron took a deep breath and said, "I can try, but given how deeply that guy is connected with the powerful people, it may not hold longer than a week."

Grace sighed, and Dawn nodded. They could not do anything more in this situation. Saffron began talking about trivial things to lighten up the mood.

...

Dawn did not know someone was investigating him while he was dealing with Onii and his goons. Clement Sable had asked his grandson to find out about Dawn after the encounter in the morning.

At this moment, he was sipping on some medicinal tea when Damien walked over with a file. Clement asked, "What did you find?"

Damien placed the file on the table and said, "It makes no sense. His life is nothing but a tragedy. He has no parents and was brought up by his grandmother, who also passed away a few years ago. One friend, Saffron Monroe. He is subjected to beatings and bullying. A few days ago, he was struck by lightning while swimming but managed to survive.

There is no mention of him ever learning how to fight. How is this possible? However, his grades are among the top five of his class. This kid is a bookworm. No mention of bad conduct, or even raising his head to glare back. He is as clean as a blank paper."

Clement smiled as he looked through the file and said, "If you have not noticed, let me point it out for you. The kid’s birth certificate was obtained three months after he was born. Fortune Nation stipulates that the certificate will be obtained within twenty-four hours. The records mention his father paying a hefty sum for a fine.

Two, he has been suffering all kinds of humiliation and torture in school and works a part-time job in one of the most troublesome parts of the city. Yet, he does not act out violently. This means he controls his mindset well; even saints might fail to withstand such things at a young age. His martial skills are enough to show that he is not a saint. Can you tell me what that means?"

Damien was puzzled and shook his head. Clement replied, "He will not act until he is threatened danger. You engaged him in a fight, and so he retaliated. Two, he is lying low, so he does have a secret to guard. It could be related to his birth, but we cannot be too sure. Last but not least, if you have not noticed, his last name is Celestus."

The young man was surprised. He opened his eyes wide and asked, "Do you mean he could be related to the royal family?"

Clement glared at his grandson, which caused the latter to shiver. The old man said, "You better rot this thought in your mind before dragging us through the mud. Many followers in the founding times took the name Celestus. It does not mean anything. However, this child is an interesting person. I wonder if he can be recruited for the military services after graduation from high school."

Damien thought and nodded before he left to make arrangements. Clement looked at the sky, and only the heavens knew what he was thinking about.

...

It was already evening, and Dawn and the two girls had a meal together. Grace cooked while Saffron helped her, and the young man helped them with the dishes. They did not talk much but moved in harmony. Saffron was called home by her father, and she said, "Dawn, I will get news on Trevor by tomorrow, don’t worry."

Dawn nodded and told her to be careful on her way home. Grace asked, "Why are you looking into Hymn?"

She had also come down to see off Saffron; this afternoon had greatly improved their connection. Dawn narrated the entire situation to her, and Grace was shocked again. She could not understand why Trevor would be involved with Onii. Dawn could read her thoughts and calmly said, "Do not worry, calm down. It is nothing too big. Once we have proof, we will confront and have Trevor confess what happened that day."

Grace nodded and calmed down a bit. She said, "You are very strong, but please be careful. I do not want anything bad to happen to you, Dawn."

The young man was taken aback but his face was still as calm as ever. He nodded, and he came to his own after sending her inside her house. He sat down to cultivate and prepare for the sunset. Yes, he had an idea on what to do next, but he did not tell the girls. Sole reason behind the secrecy was to not scare them.

He was going to visit the graveyard behind the Sun Temple. He had two reasons for this, one was to investigate the truth and the second was to extract the yin energy in the graveyard to aid his cultivation. The Nine Heaven Sutra allowed him to gather energy of any kind and convert it into the purest form of spiritual energy to cultivate.

The graveyard must be brimming with Yin energy and he wanted to tap into that. If his estimation was true, he would be able to ascend to the first level of the Body Tempering realm at the least. However, Dawn did not know that other than the Yin energy, something else was waiting for him in that graveyard, too.
