It is better for him to learn that before he went too far and couldn’t go back. I don’t want to be merciless to him’ he said and the generals and commander in the tent all pretend that they did not know anything
Kyle nodded and he was silent.
It seems he is also thinking about something. But the atmosphere inside the tent all felt cold and everyone was silent.

Any comments could paint a target on their back. It could expose them as either the support of the Emperor or King James
But those two could talk about it. In the case of Chancellor, who dares paint a target on his back?
As for Kyle, he had always been a headstrong kind of general in the court, the rising star of the military circle of Vanheim.
There are many old generals that supported him in the imperial court. People would want to curry favor and draw him to their side and not harm him.
These are the games for those who are high up there on the hierarchy of power.
Those who hear would pretend that they are deaf.
They all look toward the ground, pretending that they did not listen.
The war between the two imperial brothers might not be public, but it had its victim. In the years when Aero was hiding in Veranis, there were many casualties of this conflict
There were many officials that was demoted, officials that died in mysteries circumstance both on the Emperor side and on King James side
To the Empire, the two imperial brother both prop up the Empire and maintain its peace. The relationship that they portrayed to the world and to the common people was that they are brothers that love each other
But both the military factions and the scholar faction in the court both knows that the two brother is always plotting and scheming against each other, to chip each other people strength.
Most of the Six Councils members could stand up tall and choose not to enter the muddy battle but there is a lot of officials from both side of the aisle that could not.
Not everyone has the freedom of choice like certain people.
And the victim is always those officials that choose to back the wrong people at the wrong times.
After all, this war is still ongoing and there is up and down on both of the imperial brothers.
At times, the Emperor wins. At other times, King James wins. Most of the generals and commander in the tent is not affiliated with both, trying to remain neutral on the matter.
But some does. And the decision for Aero and Kyle to speak about the matter of those imperial brothers made them feel like they are standing on the edge of a cliff.
There only need to be some small gust of wind to push them off that cliff.
Military officials have more influence and power and ability to choose to stay out of it. But just because they have the ability to stay out of it doesn’t mean that they could stay out of it indefinitely.
Now, that Aero and Kyle is suddenly talking about the Imperial matters, each of them is afraid to be entangled with this matter.
Aero could see and feel the change in the tent and he laughed
’Enough about that’ the moment he said that most of the people in the room heaved a sigh of relief.
They would not be able to bear it if the Chancellor wanted to rope them in.
In the court, the Chancellor has always been all powerful.
Even the Emperor have to give him face. Most of the time, the Emperor always only listen to the Chancellor.
It is not based on trust, the relationship between the Emperor and the Chancellor.
It is based on power.
The Chancellor has always hold the power in the Imperial court and because of that the Emperor could not defy the Chancellor if the Chancellor ever go behind his back.
But the Chancellor had never done something without informing the Emperor unless it is an emergency and the Chancellor always outlined the reason, the pros and cons of certain move.
This win the respect of both factions.
Everyone know that if the Chancellor wanted to take over the court and relegated the Emperor to a nominal figurehead for the people, he could have done that.
But he did not.
And it is because he didn’t do so, even when he could do so, that garnered him the reputation of a loyal subject.
As such, rarely the factions in the Imperial Court would pushed too far on a certain plan, if that plan is proposed by the Chancellor.
Because while certain projects do bring benefits to the Chancellor, most of the time, it would improve the Empire even more
These generals and commander when they heard about what Great General Kyle had talked with the Chancellor they felt like they were in a trap
If suddenly the Chancellor ask them to join him in his plot, they wonder whether they would have to listen or not.
Actually with the situation right now, if the Chancellor wanted to plan something against the power in the Imperial Throne or King James, this is the most perfect place to do it.
This is the perfect place to set up scheme and plots against the Imperial Court.
They are far away from the capital.
They are also only a few people inside this tent.
If the Chancellor pressure them to follow him, they would be able to create a secret scheme here targeting either the Emperor of the King James of Niovar.
From the conversation it does look like the Chancellor is conspiring to do something about King James.
But with the Chancellor who knows really what plan is swirling in his brain? Maybe, King James is the bait and the true target of his scheme is the Emperor?
Whatever the case, whichever person that the Chancellor would target, it would be risky for them.
As such, when Aero said it is enough, they all could not help but sigh a heave of relief.
Aero then said

Aero then started proposing his plan.
’Do you all know why Karak had become so dangerous during the war?’ Aero di not wait for them to answer as he said
’The greatest threat of Karak was never their army. They lack the power of our army. But why are we taking so long to bring them down?’
’Simple. It is because of their alliance with Veranis. Veranis had split our army. There is also of course that maneuver by King James on the eastern border, involving the Great Orc Horde. I don’t like it’
