Chapter 159: Chapter 129: Advancement, Mage Professional

"In that case, I’ll have to ask you all to help defend this area. We absolutely cannot let the Goblins’ treacherous plan succeed!"

"Please calm down, Mr. President."

The man in the Mage Robe spoke again, "While the probability is high, this is still just a guess for now. It wouldn’t be wise to concentrate all our forces there. What if the Goblins aren’t as smart as we think, and they decide to attack from yesterday’s pass again? Redeploying to defend against that would be a huge hassle."

"Indeed."

Lin Mo also nodded. "To be cautious, we should send a small group first to stand guard. If the Goblins do as we suspect, those Adventurers can hold them off temporarily while waiting for reinforcements."

The president of the Adventurer’s Association was no fool, after all. He had just been too busy running around lately to think clearly. After their advice, he instantly calmed down.

"Okay, but the route you two discovered poses too great a threat to the front lines to be ignored. The first group of Adventurers we send can’t be too small, and it would be best to have a strong expert overseeing them."

As he spoke, he looked toward the man in the Mage Robe, who appeared to be around thirty years old.

In most people’s minds, the word Mage was undoubtedly synonymous with power.

"I’ll go."

The man nodded, understanding the implication. "And my squad members."

"I’ll go too."

Lin Mo spoke up right after, followed by a stream of Adventurers volunteering for the mission.

Some Adventurers chose to stay behind to help defend the town, ready to provide support or head to the pass where the Goblins attacked yesterday to prevent them from making a comeback.

"The battle on the front lines is intense, and the local Adventurers are completely tied up. I’ll also have to head to the main battlefield later to assist the Lord. I’m leaving the other areas in your hands!"

With the personnel assigned, the Association president offered his sincere thanks. After a brief exchange of pleasantries, everyone began to prepare for departure.

On their way out, they seemed to see a few more Adventurer Squads arriving at Silver Moon Town. These were likely the last ones for the day.

The setting sun hung in the sky as dusk fell. The group headed straight for their destination.

Lin Mo did a quick count. In total, 15 Adventurer Squads were heading out with them, numbering around 70 people—more than half of all the Adventurers present.

This was by no means a small number. After all, the damage would be immense if the Goblins were allowed to flank the main battle line. There was no room for error.

However, the strength of these Adventurers was rather inconsistent.

The Rescue Order itself had no strength requirement, so anyone could answer the call. Lured by the decent base pay, some Adventurers had come simply hoping to collect the basic reward. These individuals weren’t very strong, and while most of them had chosen to remain in town, more than two-thirds of the people in this departing group had still not reached the strength of a Professional.

This information was all gathered from the simple self-introductions exchanged along the way.

Soon, it was Lin Mo’s squad’s turn.

Facing everyone’s gazes, Lin Mo said calmly, "We are the Silver Radiance Squad. Three members in total, all of us Professionals. Two Warriors and one Priest."

He didn’t find it appropriate to reveal any more information.

But that short sentence alone was explosive enough.

’A three-person squad, and all of them are Professionals?’

’And one of them is even an extremely rare Priest!’

Even the Mage leading the group couldn’t help but give them a surprised look.

"With a Priest around, we don’t have to worry too much about injuries..."

"That’s right, and a Professional Level Priest at that."

"Hello there, Miss Priest."

"We might have to rely on you to look after us later."

"Um... hello, everyone..."

Feney was a little uncomfortable with everyone’s enthusiastic greetings, but she still responded politely.

Next up was the last squad—the one led by the Mage.

He smiled faintly and said, "Our squad’s name is Cyan Orchid. I’m the captain, Landon."

"As expected!"

The moment he finished speaking, someone’s expression turned to one of realization.

"I guessed it was you guys earlier, haha! With ’Gale Landon’ here, it doesn’t matter how many Goblins show up—they’ll just be lining up to die!"

"The Cyan Orchid Squad?"

"He’s *the* ’Gale Landon’?!"

Some had recognized him already, but others were naturally surprised. They had never seen the Mage named Landon before, but most had heard the rumors about him.

Gale Landon. Among the Adventurer circles of Silver Stream City, that was quite a famous name.

He had supposedly led the Cyan Orchid Squad to complete several D Level Tasks!

Six years ago, at the age of twenty-six, he was confirmed to have reached Level 3. Now, another five years have passed, and many speculate that his strength has already reached Level 4, or perhaps even close to Level 5!

’To think such a powerful Adventurer would also answer the Rescue Order and come to support Silver Moon Town.’

Lin Mo overheard the surrounding discussions and glanced at him, also a bit surprised. Although he had long guessed this Mage was very strong, he hadn’t expected him to be a Level 4 or higher!

’With a Level 4 expert taking charge, surely nothing major will go wrong.’

What’s more, Gale Landon’s teammates were no slouches either. Among his four teammates, there wasn’t a single Level 1—all of them were Professionals of Level 2 or higher!

As soon as Landon revealed his name, the group instantly felt much more at ease, and a great deal of the previous tension dissipated.
