Lu Chao turned his head and saw a magnificent academy looming before him.
The main gate was only a few dozen meters from the bustling street. A central plaque with gold inlay bore the two words "Ring Academy." A series of exquisitely carved porcelain-stone bollards stood on the ground, sectioning it off from the surrounding streets.
The entire academy occupied an area of at least tens of thousands of square meters. Its white-painted walls were exceptionally clean, standing about two or three meters high and enclosing a large, square-shaped area.

Suddenly, Wei Cangming, dressed in a black suit, approached her. He walked softly and spoke in a low voice.

Hearing this, the golden-haired woman slowly looked up. Her features were delicate on her oval face, giving her a gentle and graceful air.
She immediately stood up and closed her book.
"Uncle Wei, may I go see him?"
"If you wish to, Miss, of course you may." Wei Cangming, who had a buzz cut, nodded in reply before turning to the side and taking half a step back.
Su Muqing smiled faintly and, clutching her book, prepared to leave.

She asked, perplexed, her tone suggesting this should be obvious.
Su Muqing shook her head gently without a moment’s hesitation.

"That was just a coincidence."
The red-haired woman shook her head. "The Patrol Department keeps them on the payroll for a reason—to do their jobs."
"Even if it hadn’t been him, someone else would have stepped in. If you treat him too well, he’ll just take a mile for every inch you give. He won’t know his place."
As she finished speaking, Wei Cangming’s expression darkened, but it wasn’t his place to say anything.
