Chapter 1946: Chapter 474: Spell’s Price – Slowly Growing Old (Part 2)

She couldn’t leave, with a pent-up breath in her heart.

Yan Song said helplessly, "Yun Ya, what am I supposed to do with you?"

Yun Ya replied with a smile, "With you by my side, what do I have to fear?"

Yan Song rubbed her hair helplessly, his gaze indulgent.

Suddenly thinking of something, Yun Ya grabbed his sleeve and asked, "What about Lorde? You didn’t kill him, did you?"

Yan Song’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he looked at her deeply, "Are you worried about him?"

Yun Ya raised an eyebrow, "Yes..." Before the word "yes" was fully out, she was suddenly captured by a man’s lips, a masculine, dominating presence consumed her entire being. Dizzy from the kiss, Yun Ya was finally released as the man’s rough fingertip harshly rubbed her lips, with a sense of vengeance.

"Hmm..." Yun Ya glared at him resentfully.

"Jealous men are indeed the most terrifying."

Yan Song’s large hand fell on the back of her head, gently stroking, his gaze deep and intense. Yun Ya’s heart skipped a beat, and she hurriedly said, "Don’t misunderstand, there’s nothing between him and me."

"Nothing?" Yan Song said with a half-smile, "Who said he was handsome, tall, with outstanding military achievements, marrying him wouldn’t be a loss, huh?"

The ending of his words was enticing, and Yun Ya shuddered, then straightened her back and pointed at him, "You were eavesdropping on me?"

"Get this straight, you’re engaged." Yan Song’s tone intensified.

Yun Ya, adhering to the good female practice of not arguing with men, said, "I was just saying, my heart has always only belonged to you."

Yan Song let out a soft snort.

"Tell me quickly, did you kill him or not?"

Yan Song’s expression turned somewhat unpleasant, but he reluctantly said, "He won’t die."

Yun Ya laughed, "That’s good."

Yan Song squinted at her, and Yun Ya hurriedly said, "Although killing him would be easy, the consequences would be endless, so let’s spare him for now; besides, he might be useful."

Yun Ya’s explanation satisfied Yan Song.

Yun Ya glanced at the time and said, "Take me to him."

Her eyes flashed with a cold light, "I have a plan; this time I won’t be at her mercy."

Though Yan Song was reluctant for her to struggle in this mire again, he respected her choice even more, and at most would stay by her side at all times.

Yan Song embraced Yun Ya and disappeared from the room.

"Hey hey, don’t leave me alone...." left Zhang Huasheng alone in the room, feeling chaotic.

Back in the same room, Yan Song appeared out of thin air holding her, Yun Ya jumped down from his arms, glanced around, and saw Lorde lying motionless against the wall.

Yun Ya strode over, with Yan Song following beside her.

"Is the injury serious?" Yun Ya asked sidelong.

Yan Song frowned slightly, a red glow emitted from his palm, enveloping Lorde. Yun Ya watched this scene, calm as she was, couldn’t help but feel a bit amazed.

As Yan Song withdrew his hand, Lorde’s fingers twitched slightly, slowly awakening.

As Lorde opened his eyes, Yan Song’s figure disappeared into thin air, startling Yun Ya for a moment, she looked around hurriedly, until a warmth emanated from her palm, her eyebrows opening into a smile.

Lorde leaned against the wall, took a breath, and looked at the girl standing before him.

His gaze contained scrutiny, as if he wanted to discern something from her face, yet to his disappointment, the girl remained composed, her smile serene, even with the stains of blood at her sleeves and skirt hem, her demeanor was inherently gentle and clean.

"Are you... alright." His gaze fell on her arm; the earlier scene he would never forget, in stark contrast with the clean and fresh girl before him, he even thought he was hallucinating.

Yun Ya smiled and said, "That’s exactly my question for you, Young Master Lorde."

Leaning against the wall, Lorde gave a bitter smile, "I’m not dead." This body, forged through countless trials, possessed strong resilience against blows, common injuries wouldn’t affect him.

Thinking of that mysterious and eerie man, he cast a glance at Yun Ya, asking faintly, "Is he... yours?"

Yun Ya knew whom he was referring to, nodded with a smile, turned, and sat down on the sofa.

"The ground is cold, Young Master Lorde, how about standing up and speaking?"

Lorde scrambled up, walked over, sat opposite Yun Ya, pressed his lips, and said softly, "Sorry..."

Although it wasn’t his true intention, he had ultimately hurt her.

His gaze fell on her arm, "How’s your injury...?"

Yun Ya looked slightly startled, glanced at her arm. She recalled the previous events, sometimes when people are caught in a stalemate, logic eludes them. Many times, she would harm herself, knowing it was wrong, but couldn’t control herself...
