Chapter 467: Chapter 460: People Might Think You Want to Be Seth’s Girlfriend

Chloe Grant was confused. She didn’t understand why Miles Quinn would come to a small hospital on the outskirts of the city. ’If he’s sick, shouldn’t he be going to a major hospital?’

Chloe Grant frowned in thought for a moment. When she saw Miles Quinn get out of his car and walk into the hospital, she immediately got out and followed him.

Once upstairs, Miles Quinn entered a VIP room, but Chloe Grant was stopped at the door.

Since the VIP room was a suite, she couldn’t see what was happening in the inner room. Just as she was growing anxious, she heard a noise from within. She quickly took a few steps and hid around a corner.

The door to the room opened. Chloe Grant peeked out and saw a doctor and two nurses walking out.

The three of them left the room and got into an elevator. An idea struck Chloe Grant. She put on her sunglasses, hurried over, and slipped into the elevator with them.

Inside the elevator, the two nurses were whispering about the latest gossip.

"Hey, according to Clara Grant, President Quinn was injured while saving her. How deeply in love must he be to unhesitatingly throw himself in front of her to block a bullet?"

"I know, right? This morning, we were already jealous of the adoring way President Quinn looks at Clara Grant. I didn’t expect there would be something to make us even more envious."

Chloe Grant was already reeling from the first sentence. ’President Quinn? That obviously has to be Seth Quinn.’

The nurse’s words snapped Chloe Grant back to her senses, and she quickly stepped out of the elevator.

Once the three of them were a good distance away, she took off her sunglasses. After a moment’s thought, she pulled her phone from her purse and made a call.

The call connected, and before the person on the other end could speak, Chloe Grant blurted out, "Autumn, have you seen President Quinn in the last couple of days? Do you know what’s going on with him and Clara Grant? Did they break up or not?"

Autumn Shelby was at home, idly scrolling through her phone in bed. Hearing the urgency in Chloe Grant’s voice, which sounded almost accusatory, Autumn was instantly annoyed. She deliberately stayed silent, letting Chloe stew.

Only after Chloe Grant had called out "Autumn!" several times in frustration did she finally speak, her voice slow and deliberate. "Chloe, what’s wrong? My, you sound frantic. Anyone who didn’t know better might think you want to replace Clara Grant as Seth’s girlfriend."

Chloe Grant realized she had indeed sounded too desperate, but she found Autumn Shelby’s snide tone unbearable.

But what could she do? She still needed something from her, after all.

She gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, and softened her tone before forcing a laugh. "Oh, Autumn, the things you say. Aren’t I just being anxious on your behalf?"

Autumn Shelby let out a soft laugh. "You can spare me the worry. Seth and Clara Grant will definitely break up. You can rest assured."
