Chapter 446: Chapter 338: The Might of the Dragon Group, Rivers of Blood

Time did not stall for a moment due to Iron Wall General’s internal reaction, and the enemy’s advancing steps also did not pause for an instant.

The doom of the first and second outposts falling in quick succession sounded like a death knell, ringing relentlessly.

As the distance continued to close, the gigantic beast that crushed all obstacles along its path finally emerged from the dense darkness, revealing its terrifying claws and fangs, displaying an awe-inspiring, suffocating real appearance.

Agile and tall, entirely clad in heavy armor, carrying spears, the Centaur Warriors stood in formation like a forest;

Heavy and robust, muscles bulging like moving hills, dragging a giant wolf fang club, the Ogres let out deep roars;

With claws gleaming coldly, moving so fast as to leave afterimages, leaping and darting through the shadows, the Werewolf assault team made its move;

A dense horde stretching as far as the eye can see, emitting bloodthirsty hisses, the Jackal-Wolf Folk, Kobolds, and War Lizardfolk army surged forward.

...

The sheer size and high quality of the enemy forces completely exceeded the garrison’s expectations.

Meanwhile, the thunderous footfalls, the clank of metal scraping, and countless deep, oppressed roars and snarls amalgamated into a terrifying sound wave that shook the earth, crashing into the ear drums and nerves of everyone on the city wall.

"All soldiers! Stay vigilant! Hold the line! Reinforcements will arrive!"

Iron Wall General Hamilton puffed up his chest, his deep voice imbued with Holy Oath Energy forcefully overpowered the monstrous clamor below the city walls.

"Magic Crystal Cannon array—load energy, prepare for alternating coverage firing!"

"Alchemy Golem Corps—advance to the wall parapet, build the close defense line!"

"..."

"Holy Oath Knight Order—take your positions, defend every inch of the wall to the death!"

He commanded with a composed and confident voice, slightly stabilizing the soldiers’ morale.

Orders landed like a sledgehammer.

The surface energy patterns on the city wall shone like molten gold, barbs buzzed and trembled; the cannon muzzles lit up with blinding blue light, the air buzzed from energy overload; the Alchemy Golems surged onto the parapet with heavy footsteps, roaring like a giant beast... The Paladins’ armor clanged as they held their ground atop the walls, fully aware of what they faced, yet the Crown’s Oath engraved in their bones declared that retreat meant death!

"Fire!!"

The Magic Crystal Cannon array roared deafeningly, the light of the first salvo tearing apart the silent night sky in an instant.

Dozens of beams as thick as barrels burst forth from the cannon muzzles, like spears of judgment cast down by the gods, illuminating the wilderness in a flash.

Wherever the beams passed, the Orc slave phalanx at the forefront, treated as cannon fodder, disappeared like snow cast into a smelting furnace.

The front-line Orcs couldn’t even emit a scream, vaporized and evaporated instantly in the extreme heat.

The more robust Barbarian warriors at the rear, merely grazed by the beams’ edges, found their thick metal plate armor melting into red hot molten iron, horrifically bonding and charring with their flesh beneath.

However, the loss of these slaves meant nothing to the Molten Iron Tribe.

"For the glory of the King of Molten Iron! Crush them!"

Kalu pounded his chest with a roar, stepping over charred bodies, slamming into the ground like cannonballs, charging towards the towering city walls.

The response was the second wave of cannon fire.

Feeling the might of the Dragon Vein Gluttonous Demon, the commander of the Magic Crystal Cannon array dared not slack off, attempting to slay it.

Beams intertwined into a net, covering the Dragon Vein Gluttonous Demon with no dead angle.

However, in the face of those unavoidable dangerous beams, the Dragon Vein Gluttonous Demon merely raised his head and roared, deliberately not dodging, charging directly with his body.

The beams landed on his body, covered with Dragon Scales.

The extreme heat, capable of evaporating Orc slaves and melting metal armor, only left some charred marks on him, unable to inflict effective damage.

Kalu, inheriting the Red Dragon bloodline, had considerable fire resistance.

The Molten Iron Legion continued their advance, with the overhead long-range attacks causing some inconvenience but unable to halt their steps.

Soon, the tidal wave of monstrous army formally laid siege to the city walls.

The flickering glow of cannon fire also clearly illuminated the gigantic dragon shadow circling low in the sky.

The primary purpose of the Affiliated Legion for the Dragon Group was to distract enemy fire, preventing the Giant Dragons from being targeted without restraint.

As the legions pressed closer, the Giant Dragons could finally unleash their powers freely.

"Insignificant insects, turn to dust under Dragon Breath!"

Red Dragon Samantha’s roar rolled over the battlefield like thunder.

Unable to contain her boiling battle spirit, her wings suddenly folded, diving towards a section of the city wall.

As she neared, the intricate Alchemy Runes on the tiny Dragon Scales of her throat suddenly brightened.

This was her emulating her kin’s breath, enhancing it with her own Mage abilities into a fortified breath attack.

She opened her massive jaws, unleashing a dense, almost solid stream of Dragon Breath, shining white tinged with dark red.

The searing stream of destruction, like a celestial god wielding a whip of light, brutally lashed at a Magic Crystal Cannon Platform spewing energy frantically.

Yet the Defense Runes engraved on the city wall’s surface all lit up to the extreme almost instantly as the attack approached.

A thick, sturdy, semi-transparent Magic Shield coalesced in the blink of an eye, boldly receiving the Red Dragon’s breath.

The shield, under the terrifying impact of the Dragon Breath, vibrated intensely, continuously caving inward and cracking with web-like patterns, yet it stubbornly refused to shatter immediately!

Boom!

Samantha, with the massive force of her dive, fiercely collided with the spot where the shield’s cracks were densest.

The collision between her hardened skull and the Magic Shield emitted a teeth-grinding sound, forcefully punching a huge gap in the shield.
