Chapter 2657: Chapter 1791: The Hero Begins His Attack (So Lazy, Don’t Want to Get Up)
Everything is already prepared.
Under the cover of night, Beast King Academy appeared very calm, even the soldiers originally stationed here were reduced significantly. This was expected, after all, the Beast King took away most of the soldiers, leaving only a few to guard. The current security level of the academy is even lower than usual.
However, for the students here, they didn’t feel anything amiss. After all, it’s always been peaceful here, and there have never been any problems.
It is precisely because of this that when the thunderous explosion erupted, everyone was startled.
"What’s going on? What happened?"
Sede jumped up from the floor, disregarding his aching body to run to the window, looking around. At the same time, lights began to illuminate in the dormitories that had been in a deep sleep, many orcs poked their heads out, confusedly looking outside, but found nothing.
"Hey? What’s happening?"
"I don’t know!"
"Where are the guards? What happened?"
More and more students awoke from their dreams, some shouting for guards to investigate the situation. Just as Sede was about to search for the lady, he suddenly heard the rumbling sound from not far away, feeling the ground beneath his feet gently trembling.
What’s happening? Could it be an earthquake?
Sede looked out again, then widened his eyes in surprise.
Under the moonlight, Sede saw on the slope behind the academy, a massive rock rolling down, it looked as big as a small house; though its speed seemed slow, it was incredibly fast. Sede didn’t even have time to shout and warn everyone before the massive rock collided with the dormitory building on the other side of the academy.
"No! Lady!"
Upon seeing this, Sede immediately screamed, and at the same time, the others around also exclaimed and screamed. Sede turned straight around and dashed out of his shed, racing towards the impacted dormitory building at top speed.
The originally three-story villa had now mostly collapsed; when Sede arrived, cries and roars and screams could be heard. The rock was wedged in the center, rendering the building askew. Many orcs scrambled out, some yelling for help.
"Lady! Lady!"
Sede, in a panic, charged into the precarious dormitory, sprinting towards the lady’s room on memory, unhesitatingly rushing up the crooked stairs and pushing open the second door at the end of the hallway.
"Lady, are you alright!"
"Sede......"
A weak voice came, upon hearing it, Sede quickly looked over, finally seeing the lady being pinned under a collapsed bookshelf. She raised her head, staring at Sede, her face showing unease.
"Lady! Are you okay?"
"I’m alright, just can’t get out... can you help me?"
"Of course, please wait a moment."
Sede stretched out his hand, forcefully bracing himself, trying to lift that heavy bookshelf, yet it was no easy task for him. Still, the young man gritted his teeth, positioning his shoulder against the bookshelf, pushing it upwards with all his might.
However, the bookshelf was so heavy that even with all his strength, Sede struggled to move it.
"Sede, go get help, you can’t do it alone!"
"No, there’s no time, Lady, it’s going to collapse soon!"
Sede could sense the cracks on the walls expanding; although he felt calling other orcs for help was the best choice, leaving now seemed to be too late.
"I will definitely save you...!! Ahhhhhhhh!!"
With a roar, Sede exerted all his strength, finally lifting the heavy bookshelf slightly, revealing a gap. The lady hurriedly crawled out through the gap. Seeing the lady safe, Sede felt the strength he had gathered dissipate, he sighed in relief and collapsed backwards, the heavy bookshelf again crashed down onto Sede.
"Sede!"
At that moment, Sede heard the lady’s call, and then felt himself being grabbed and lifted, wind whistling past his ears, accompanied by the sound of shattering glass, realizing the lady had carried him, crashing through the glass, jumping out from the building, landing steadily.
Almost simultaneously, the three-story villa, overwhelmed, emitted a loud noise, completely collapsing.
"No ————!"
"Gosh, what the hell is happening!?"
Sede steadied himself on the ground, hearing the surrounding screams. Turning to look, he saw many disheveled orcs standing around, bewildered by the scene before them. In fact, no one knew what happened, why a stone suddenly rolled down the mountain, why it hit the academy’s dormitory building, everything occurred without any warning, leaving Sede’s mind buzzing until now.
"Are you okay? Sede?"
The lady’s gentle voice rang in his ears, helping Sede regain some sanity, he looked at the familiar and adorable, furry face before him and spoke.
