As the freezing midnight moon finally settled over the secluded outskirts of Poison Valley Town, a lone figure draped in a thick black cloak quietly arrived at the heavy ironwood gates of Gu Fan’s newly acquired estate.
"Halt! You can’t go inside," The two Song Clan guards who were stationed outside immediately crossed their spears to block their path with aggressive glares, but a sleek, pale hand slipped out from underneath the dark cloak to casually toss exactly ten Low-Grade Spirit Stones towards one of the guards.
The guard caught the Spirit stones, counted them and the two men pulled their spears away, allowing the mysterious figure to pass without uttering a single word of protest.
The cloaked figure then walked along the gravelled path through the meditation garden until one of the twin maids opened the main pavilion door, respectfully bowing her head as she led the secret guest down the lavishly decorated hallway.
The cloaked figure scanned the luxurious bedroom, the high-tier defensive arrays pulsing faintly along the walls, and the expensive jade furniture along the way.
Finally they stopped in front of the master bedroom.
"Master has been eagerly waiting for you inside," the maid muttered submissively before bowing deeply and stepping away.
The figure pushed open the wooden doors and stepped into the warmly lit and massive room. The room was filled with flickering candles, the pleasant aroma of the roses and incense sticks.
In the centre of the room, Gu Fan was lounging casually on the edge of the massive silk bed with his chest completely exposed to the warm light of the spirit lamps.
"I hope you did not get lost on your way here." Gu Fan spoke through his smile.
As soon as he spoke, the heavy cloak was immediately pulled back to reveal the beautiful and slightly confused face of Madam Li.
Her pale cheeks were already flushed with a nervous blush while her chest heaved with deep, frantic breaths from her hurried journey.
"Mother, I missed you so much!" Gu Fan smiled looking at her face and stood up and as soon as he got close to her, he wrapped his arms around her soft waist pulling her in a tight and affectionate bear hug, and pressing a long peck directly against her soft lips.
And despite the confusion in her eyes, Madam Li happily melted into his strong embrace. But the lovestruckness did not last for long as she was quick to pull away from the kiss when she realized Gu fan was using it to divert her attention from the issue at hand.
Before he could even think of interrupting her she bombarded him with a rapid fire round of questions.
"What is this place, Gu Fan?"
"Is this yours? How can you even buy such a lavish estate? That too inside the Song Clan?"
"Tell me what is going on?"
"And what are those guards? The guard who came to deliver your letter, he called you his master?"
"And why is there a beautiful maid serving you in the middle of the night?!"
"Hahaha!" Gu Fan just chuckled at her fierce interrogation, leaning down to playfully kiss her neck while he smoothly replied, "You have a lot of questions, mother. Are you sure you want to waste your time knowing about all this?"
"Don’t change the subject," Madam Li’s eyes closed, feeling his touch, but she did not let him slide her questions under the rug.
"Don’t worry, Mother. A very wealthy new friend of mine was simply kind enough to let me have this place, so don’t worry your pretty head about the trivial logistics since you are only here to be rewarded." Gu fan whispered in her ears.
But this only fueled the suspicion in her mind even further.
’No one in this miserable, cutthroat town was generous enough to just give away a heavily fortified abode for free,’ Madam Li thought. But before she could even open her mouth to interrogate him further, the wooden doors suddenly clicked open once again and another cloaked figure walked directly into the room.
Madam Li instantly shifted her stance, and her aura violently flared up as she stepped directly in front of Gu Fan to shield him from the unknown intruder.
"Who are you?" As the second figure froze under the intense killing intent Madam Li questioned.
The figure slowly raised its hands to remove the dark hood, finally revealing the stunning, flawlessly cold face of the Bai Clan’s Ice Fairy, Bai Bing.
Bai Bing also froze in her tracks, as her icy blue eyes narrowed in shock as she stared at the Matriarch of the Gu Clan standing intimately and protectively in front of Gu Fan.
She did not know the matriarch personally, but she has seen her a few times to not mistake her.
’What is she doing here? With Gu Fan?’
Meanwhile, Madam Li’s expression instantly twisted from pure shock into burning jealousy as she aggressively glared at Bai Bing and then turned to look over her shoulder at Gu fan. She had a hunch who was behind all this.
"Bai Bing?!" Madam Li hissed as she stepped forward to assert her dominance over the younger woman, "What in the world is the Bai Clan’s precious Ice Fairy doing sneaking into my husband’s private bedroom in the middle of the night?!" freewebnøvel.com
"Your husband?!" Bai Bing choked out, completely stunned by the absurd, entirely scandalous claim as a wave of sheer dizziness hit her, forcing her to take a shaky step backward.
For brief second before she forcefully pulled back, her dark eyes frantically scanning the massive, incredibly luxurious bedroom, the high-tier defensive arrays pulsing faintly along the walls, and the expensive jade furniture because she was completely shocked by the sheer scale of the breathtaking property that far exceeded anything the Gu Clan owned.
Her eyes moved between the furious Matriarch and the smirking young master behind her, "What in the world are you talking about? Isn’t he your stepson?"
"What does she mean, Gu Fan?" Bai Bing directly asked Gu Fan demanding answers, "What is this crazy woman talking about, and what exactly is going on here?!"
But before Gu Fan could even open his mouth to explain the massive taboo, Madam Li proudly stepped forward and closed the distance, such that she was standing just a foot away from Bai Bing, their breasts practically rubbing against each other.
"It is exactly what it looks like, little girl," Madam Li sneered, and took a step back wrapping her arm tightly around Gu Fan’s muscular bicep to press her heavy breasts directly against his arm so she could proudly show off how "close" the mother and son were.
"He might be my stepson for the world, but behind closed doors he conquers my body at his will making him my true husband in every single way that matters."
"So why don’t you turn around and take your pathetic, inexperienced body right back out that door and wait for your turn. You are absolutely not welcome in our private chamber!"
Hearing the sheer, shameless pride in the Matriarch’s voice caused Bai Bing to quickly recover from her initial dizziness, letting her own arrogant, icy demeanor instantly snap right back into place as she aggressively crossed her slender arms to taunt the older woman right back.
"Don’t flatter yourself, you delusional old hag," Bai Bing was not going to back down,"Gu Fan is not someone who could be tied down by a washed-up Matriarch from a crumbling clan."
"And for your information, he specifically summoned me here tonight because he actually wants to dual cultivate with a woman who has no one but him in her life!"
"So instead of sneaking into his bedroom in the middle of the night. Why don’t you go back to your chambers and feed on some skin-cleansing dans and try your luck after a couple of years?"
"You arrogant little bitch, you are nothing but a naive, inexperienced child who doesn’t even know how to properly please a man," Madam Li fired back viciously, her eyes flashing with anger.
"At least my body is entirely pure and young, unlike some used, aging Matriarch who is so desperately starved for some meat that she has to beg a younger man to fuck her!" Bai Bing retorted with an utterly brutal sneer, perfectly landing a massive critical hit directly on Madam Li’s deepest insecurities.
While the two women exchanged vicious taunts, throwing verbal daggers at each other as the jealousy rapidly boiled over, Gu Fan just stood back and watched the entertaining catfight, thoroughly enjoying the intense rivalry radiating from his two beautiful women.
But if he let them continue, the two women could continue it forever.
So after a few more exchanges, Gu Fan finally stepped right between them with effortless grace, and gently wrapped his arms around both of their narrow waists to pull their furious bodies against his warm chest, taking the two of them by surprise.
"Now! Now! I don’t want to top this when you both look so ravishingly beautiful when you are jealous," Gu Fan teased softly as he gently brushed stray locks of hair from their faces.
"You are both my precious women now, and since I went through all the trouble of securing this massive abode just so I could pamper the two most stunning beauties in Poison Valley Town, I want you to put these silly rivalry aside tonight and just enjoy some alone time from all the clan hassle."
"Because I can promise you, there is more than enough of my love to completely satisfy you both."
