Chapter 29: Flawless victory

After everyone had recovered their stamina, Bobby pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and explained his intention. He knew a monster zone that could earn them plenty of points.

However... The monster’s level was the highest in this part of the exam. They would need an army to clear those monsters, but if they did, they would have to share the points. It would go against their goal, as their objective was to claim all the points.

’’The key to this challenge is you, Vyral,’’ Bobby replied honestly.

That was the reason he chose to cooperate with Vyral.

’’Your fire magic is their weakness. Those stupid treants will be burned into ash by your fire.’’

Travis responded. His voice carried a hint of flattery.

’’Right. Moreover, with support from Sir Doran, our win rate will increase significantly.’’

Bobby nodded in understanding. His respect for Vyral began to fade. To him, Vyral was nothing but a lowly ant feeding off a fat worm.

’’Yeah. I was wrong about you. Turns out, you’re a friend of his. Sir Doran definitely supported you a lot to obtain the Mage Class.’’

Doran frowned in confusion. He didn’t even know what the hell these scums were babbling about.

’’Wait a minute. Why do you know that information?... Why didn’t my father tell me anything?’’

His voice grew quieter as he clenched his jaw in regret.

’’Shit... It must be because of the cake I took from him.’’

Arthea’s eyes turned sharp. She was quite irritated by how these Otherworlders showed contempt toward her partner. Meanwhile, Vyral just rubbed his chin, deep in thought about their plan.

’’Quite interesting. I’m in.’’

’’Come on. We need to hurry up. Since the first stage of the exam, I’m pretty sure no one knows about it except us. Therefore, we need to take advantage of this opportunity.’’ Bobby said while running ahead.

The others ran behind him.

After 10 minutes, they finally arrived at the secret zone.

[Treant Lv.6]

As soon as they set foot in the monster’s territory, a Treant crawled out of the forest toward the candidates.

Vyral instantly triggered [Fireball] – three fireballs shot toward the monster. Soon, flames engulfed the monstrous tree, and a painful scream rang out.

’’As I planned.’’ Bobby crossed his arms while chuckling. Yet his face froze as he realized the monster was still fine, without any visible wounds on it.

The monstrous tree roared in rage, releasing long roots that swung toward Vyral’s group.

Arthea clicked her tongue in annoyance. She drew her sword, releasing a series of golden arcs that tore through the air, cutting the roots into pieces. The monster roared in pure agony, drawing the attention of every monster in this zone. Soon, Vyral’s group was surrounded by a swarm of monsters.

’’F*CK YOU!’’ Doran roared in pure rage before delivering a brutal, cruel slap to Bobby’s cheek. The blow was strong enough to shatter Bobby’s teeth and disfigure half of his face. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

Bobby tumbled across the ground several times before hitting a rock and stopping. Blood ran from his mouth like a river. Beside him, his glasses lay stained with blood, completely broken in half.

’’HOW DARE YOU TRICK US? four-eyes! ’’

Travis was still stunned by Doran’s cruel actions, yet he quickly regained his composure. He charged at Bobby and relentlessly unleashed a series of kicks at his target.

Bobby curled up in a fetal position, shivering as he endured the torment.

’’Son of a bitch! Again? You gave us junk information. I swear I’ll never believe anything that comes out of your mouth again.’’

Meanwhile, Vyral was still focused on the monsters ahead, ignoring the mess behind him.

After a few minutes of observation, he came to a conclusion.

’’He is not lying to us. There are a few things beyond his prediction.’’

He added, pointing his finger at a small Treant standing in the distance.

[Boss Treant Lv.6]

’’That monster is capable of using magic. It seems he has applied a magic resistance buff to the other monsters.’’

Arthea nodded in agreement with Vyral’s opinion. She then used telepathy to communicate with him.

’’So things will be easier for us. Leave the boss to me. I have 100% magic resistance. I’m a natural enemy of it’’

Vyral raised an eyebrow in surprise.

’’100% magic resistance? That’s too OP.’’

A charming smile spread across her lips as she curled them slightly.

’’Do it, partner.’’

Ting!

Vyral replied with excitement.

’’Yes, my King.’’

Just like that, all of the people performed their private jobs. Because their mission was only clearing the way for Arthea, so it was quite easy. They didn’t need to waste time to face the monsters to death, especially with such numbers of them.

’’Open path for her.’’ Doran yelled as commanding for gigantic golems slammed into treants, pushing away.

Vyral and Arthea stood on golem’s shoulders while it ran to the boss through an even, empty path that other golems made.

Soon, they approached the Boss.

’’Be careful.’’ Vyral said.

Arthea gave him a confident glance filled with fighting spirit before leaping into the air.

She landed on the ground and instantly charged at the boss with ridiculous speed. No one could keep up with her, not even Vyral.

The boss unleashed a barrage of razor-sharp wind blades at her, but she cut through them as if they were nothing.

In the next moment, she was already upon the boss, completely overpowering it. Her technique and swordsmanship relentlessly pressured it, leaving it no room to fight back.

After only a few minutes of clashing, the battle was over.

Arthea had won.

A beautiful, flawless victory.

She raised her sword toward the sky, releasing golden mana that proclaimed her victory. The overwhelming aura radiating from her served as a warning to the surrounding monsters, causing them to tremble in fear.

Of course, she didn’t forget to glance back at her partner with a gorgeous smile on her lips.

’’She’s strong.’’

Vyral rubbed his head with a smile.

Doran clicked his tongue.

’’I’m quite jealous of you. I’m strong, smart, and handsome. I have everything. Why can’t I find a girlfriend who truly loves me?’’

Vyral shrugged.

’’No idea.’’
