Chapter 19: Thirteenth Knight of the Round Table
Vyral licked his lips and rubbed his palms together in excitement.

...
Vyral blinked several times as he stared at the skill list of the evolution path. Overall, it was actually beyond his expectations.
With this list, he could learn everything about becoming a swordmaster without undergoing a long and difficult process. It was literally a cheat for any player.
However... their cost was expensive, causing him to frown for a moment. If he only did something trivial like killing monsters to earn Mystic Energy, it was hard to believe he would become stronger. The growth rate might feel troublesome and slow, perhaps even worse than conventional methods— he’d end up weak and pathetic.
If that happened, the academy would kick him out sooner or later.
’’The key to handle this issue is Arthea.’’
Certainly, Arthea had arrived at Twilight Academy, as it was the best place for growth at this stage.
He glanced at the time displayed on the panel and nodded to himself.
’’There’s still a few days before the entrance exam begins. During that time, I should register as an adventurer and take on some quests.’’
His eyes hardened as he made a decision. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com
’’But first, I will evolve my height.’’
He quickly checked the text that had appeared earlier.
[You received 31.78 Mystic Energy after 75h 39m offline.]
Vyral rubbed his chin in amusement. He couldn’t even hide the delight in his eyes at this moment.
’’Very good.’’
He quickly opened the list of basic evolutions and selected the one he prioritized most.
[Height Enhancement Lv.1] – 1 Mystic Energy
Increase height.
’’Do it!’’
Mystic Energy: 33.33 → 32.33
Vyral expected some intense reaction, but nothing happened. He looked over his body but didn’t notice anything unusual, as if his height hadn’t evolved at all.
’’N-No way. That can’t be.’’
Vyral immediately upgraded the basic evolution again.
Mystic Energy: 32.33 → 30.33
[Height Enhancement Lv.1] → [Height Enhancement Lv.2] – 2 Mystic Energy
Nothing changed at all.
Vyral clenched his teeth in frustration and yelled.
’’Again!’’
Mystic Energy: 30.33 → 26.33
[Height Enhancement Lv.2] → [Height Enhancement Lv.3] – 4 Mystic Energy
’’DAMN YOU! DO IT AGAIN!’’
Mystic Energy: 26.33 → 20.33
[Height Enhancement Lv.3] → [Height Enhancement Lv.4] – 6 Mystic Energy
Vyral dropped to his knees and slammed his fists against the ground in helplessness.
He groaned as realizing his change in height.
’’Why? Why? After all that, I only gained 4 mm in height?.’’
Based on what he had measured and calculated, his height was now 1,004 meter. His target height was at least 1.8 meters; he still needed another 79,6 centimeters.
If it was 1 mm per Lv.1, then he would need to upgrade this one to Lv.796 to reach that height.
Lv.800? How much Mystic Energy would he have to spend for that? He couldn’t even imagine the cost at that level, while at Lv.5 he had already felt a painful ache in his heart paying for it.
’’Shit.’’
Vyral let out a sad breath before picking another basic evolution.
[Hair Growth Lv1] – 0.5 Mystic Energy
Increase the amount of hair.
’’Do it.’’
Mystic Energy: 20.34 → 19.84
Charisma: 1 → 2
Vyral didn’t expect too much about this one either. He was sure he might just grow a single hair.
Yet, in contrast, as soon as he patted the top of his head, a smile spread across his lips.
A lot.
He had a lot of hair.
’’Yeah!’’
He added.
’’At least, my sadness is fading a bit.’’
Again, Vyral focused on the list of basic evolutions. Since his next journey was entering the land of humans, he needed a human face, not a monster’s. He didn’t want to get caught the moment he set foot there.
[Human Body Reform Lv.max] – 5 Mystic Energy.
His entire body structure became more human-like.
Vyral picked it without hesitation. Right then, a wave of aching pain gnawed at each of the muscle fibers in his body. His ragged, sharp teeth slowly transformed into an even row inside his mouth cavity. His long nose and ears shortened. His hunched back reshaped, straightening up.
More importantly, his skin grew smoother, brighter, and a series of changes followed.
Charisma: 2 → 10
After 10 minutes, Vyral touched his body and looked himself over. He now resembled a dwarf-like race with green skin, no longer anything like a hideous goblin at all. Even among dwarfs, he was afraid that no one was as handsome as him – at least, he supposed.
’’Well, I guess it’s fine.’’

In a dark room, four gigantic stone knights stood firmly at the four corners. The tips of their swords toward the ceiling – twisted upward into a spiral shape, each line carved with intricate engravings– an angel and demon – both of them fighting as if struggling for something at the center of the spiral.
The Holy Grail.
Beneath the ceiling was a huge round table surrounded by thirteen stone chairs.
There were two particular chairs among them.
’’I love you.’’
A naked, young woman sat on the thighs of a decaying corpse, which reclined the largest chair, a longsword driven through its chest, piercing into the chair’s backrest.
’’I love you so much. Please reply to me.’’
The woman pressed her crimson lips close to the corpse’s ear. She hugged it tightly, then continued to kiss those decayed lips.
The corpse, with empty eye sockets, should have shown no reaction, yet a faint tremor ran through its skull.
Then a helpless, hateful voice rang out from its hanging jaw.
’’Curse you, betrayer.’’
A wicked, perverted smile spread across her lips while tracing her fingers along the corpse’s ribs.
’’Why don’t you submit to me? Anyway, you’ve already lost the Holy Grail... The Deities have abandoned you. There’s no need to struggle.’’
She giggled, then gave the corpse a long, heated kiss. But just seconds later, a subtle vibration nearby shattered their debauchery.
Opposite them was a dark, bulky chair wrapped in countless chains, carved with endless slashes, as if someone had tried to destroy it but failed.
The Thirteenth Chair.
The chains suddenly shivered with a cracking sound before breaking apart – the shattered pieces falling to the ground with a loud clatter, releasing a crimson wave of divine energy into the room.
A vague figure materialized, was seated on the chair for a brief moment, then faded into the air, leaving only lingering divine energy behind.
BOOM!
A massive fireball appeared out of nowhere, illuminating the entire room and filling it with the stench of death. The chairs radiated intense heat, and black scorch marks began to spread across the floor and walls. Yet the chair engulfed in a cruel, violent flame remained untouched—unbreakable.
’’HAHAHAHAHA... Even if you wield the fire magic of the Fire God, It’ll still be pointless.’’
The corpse laughed in pure delight.
’’The Thirteenth Knight has finally been revealed! The strongest knight, destined to seize the Holy Grail.’’
’’SHUT UP!’’ The naked woman’s eyes flashed with murderous intent as she cast a strange spell upon the corpse, freezing him in place. freēwebnovel.com
She spat, her gaze fixed on the black chair.
"Annoying... just a few more variables. Even the Knight of Death and seven of the Twelve Knights of the Round Table are under our control. What is the Thirteenth Knight supposed to be? Fucking nothing. The flow of destiny cannot bind me."
Seconds later, she grinned in surprise.
’’I didn’t expect the Thirteenth Knight to be a goblin.’’
Then she used telepathy magic.
’’My beloved Knights of the Round Table... obey my command: Exterminate all goblins across the world – every last one of them. I will force him expose before that time comes.’’
’’No one shall hinder our second conquest of the Holy Grail.’’
