Just then, the main gates of Dawnlight Base suddenly swung open, and a group of people charged out.

"Kill them all?" General Aldridge shot a look at the young man. "You talk a big game! Why don’t you go ahead then?"
Seeing that General Aldridge was clearly displeased, Trevor Thorne quickly stepped in to defuse the tension.
"General Aldridge, please don’t be angry. This is my son, Nathan Thorne. He has a bit of a fiery temper, but his heart is in the right place; he’s just worried for the base. He doesn’t mean any harm, so please don’t hold it against him. We are incredibly grateful that your people could come to our aid so quickly! But as for now, I truly don’t know why these Aberrant Beasts have surrounded Dawnlight Base. For the moment, we can only play it by ear!"
General Aldridge gave Trevor Thorne a long, hard look. "So what’s your plan?"
