Chapter 488: Chapter 488 - Hideout(Part 4)

"It was a bit of a tight fit, but we managed to put everything they’ve got in our Item Boxes," Grinned Celes, as we headed down the path to the slave room.

"Yeah, we’re set for a while with all this stuff, we can take it easy for the foreseeable future," I nodded in response. fɾeeweɓnѳveɭ.com

We’d just gotten done looting the rooms full of treasure, food and alcohol, all of which took up damn near all the remaining space we had between us in our respective Item Boxes.

We were currently heading to free the slaves, and once that was done, we’d proceed with destroying the entire place.

"We got such a wide variety of booze, and so much of it too, I can’t wait to try-...hm?" She trailed off as frantic voices echoed out from the end of the path.

"Sounds like the women they abducted tonight regained consciousness. I bet they’re going to think we’re the bandits, huh?" I replied with a wry smile. freёwebnoѵel.com

"Eh, who cares?" She shrugged indifferently, as we reached the end of the path and stepped into the room where the slaves were being held.

The bandits had only abducted women, there wasn’t a single man in sight in the room. They’ve probably been selling the women they abduct off as sex slaves or something.

"Huh? You, are you responsible for locking us up in this filthy place?! You won’t get away with this!"

"Wait, hold on...I recognize her, that’s the Commoner bitch! I get it now, she joined up with The Marauders!"

"Oh, go fuck yourselves, you stupid cunts," Huffed Celes, flipping them off as I extended out my tail and slashed at the locks on the other cages.

"Hurry up and get out of here, we’re going to destroy this place soon, so you should leave before you get caught up in that," I remarked, as I cut through the shackles they were chained with.

The women tentatively stepped out of the cages, nervous, suspicious looks on their faces.

"A-Are we really free?"

"This isn’t a dream, i-is it?"

"Nope, it’s very real. Go on, get going," I replied, before turning my attention to the last cage, with the women who’d been abducted tonight, staring in bewilderment.

The ones I freed hesitated for a moment, before hurrying past me and rushing out the room, practically tripping over themselves to get out.

"Wait, what’s going on?"

"Is she not with the bandits?"

"And who’s the guy with her?"

"This has to be some kind of trick, no way is that bitch here to help us!"

"Y-Yeah, and like we need help from some uppity Commoner, anyway!"

Are they for real?

"Tch...hey, Larrk, mind if we just leave them here? I’m not particularly keen on helping them," Muttered Celes with an icy glare.

"Sure, I don’t see why you should help people who insult you," I replied with a shrug.

"N-No, wait!"

"I-I didn’t say anything insulting, please help me!"

"Yeah, me too, I didn’t say anything either!"

"Alright, how about this? If these two get on their hands and knees and apologize, I’ll forget the insults and open the cage," Remarked Celes, as she nodded at the two who’d insulted her.

"Fuck you, Commoner! We won’t-...h-hey, let go!" Exclaimed one of the women, as the others grabbed her and tried to force her down onto her hands and knees.

"I-I refuse to die in a place like this just because you can’t say the word sorry! Just do it already, damn it!"

"Stop resisting, you idiot!"

"Damn it, let go of me!"

"Shall we just free the others and leave those two here to die?" I suggested with a sigh.

"Yeah, sounds good to me," Nodded Celes, before slicing through the lock with one of her blades.

As she opened it, I extended my tail into the cage and cut the shackles apart, freeing all the women except the pair that had insulted Celes.

"Th-Thank you so much."

"Oh, thank goodness, I really thought I was going to end up becoming a slave."

As the four I’d freed stepped out, the other two tensed as I shut the cage and stepped back.

"Huh? H-Hey, what do you think you’re doing?! Do you have any idea who my father is?! You won’t get away with this!"

"Y-Yeah, you’ll regret it if you leave us here, you bastard!"

"Somehow, I doubt that. Seriously, why would I help people who threaten me instead of, you know, saying please?" I pointed out coldly.

"Why the hell would I beg some Commoner for help?! I...I am a member of the Nobility, your kind is obligated to serve us, it’s all you’re good for!"

"Okay, yeah, we’re leaving them here," I decided, before heading out with Celes, the other four women hurrying after us.

The two in the cage continued yelling after us, spewing nothing but insults and threats. Man, what’s wrong with them? They’re putting their pride over their lives, and for what?

We gave them plenty of chances, but they refused to take them. That’s on them, they brought this on themselves.

As we got out of the ruins, Celes stretched her arms up with a content sigh, looking pretty satisfied. Looks like she had fun tonight.

"Thank you so much for saving us," One of the women bowed her head gratefully.

"Yeah, thank you."

"I guess not all Commoners are so bad, huh?"

"I’m just glad we aren’t going to be sold off as slaves."

"By the way, um...how do we get back?"

"Could you show us the way?"

"No, too much work. Just follow the tracks of the wagon they brought you here in," I replied, nodding at the trail on the ground.

Looks like the women we initially freed did just that, I’m seeing a lot of footprints around the wagon tracks.

"Yeah, you can take care of yourselves from here on. Oh, and don’t tell anyone about us, got it? If anyone comes after us, you’ll be our first targets," Celes warned them.

"Hm, on that note, before you leave, stick around and watch us destroy this place. You’ll see firsthand that that isn’t an empty threat," I added, before Celes and I began flying up.
