Chapter 74: Chapter 74 – Shall We Start The Beach Episode?

8 a.m.

The morning sun gently filtered through the thick curtains as Sohen slowly opened his eyes.

His head felt heavy after yesterday’s 15-hour journey, but his body felt incredibly light.

He was lying in a huge king-size bed; the sheets were so soft that it felt as if he were sleeping on a cloud.

(We arrived late at night, and I was so tired that I can’t even remember how I got here... I didn’t even turn on the light in the room, haha. It’s been a long time since something like this happened to me; I’m losing my touch.)

Sohen slowly sat down and began to look around his room.

The room was luxurious even for a five-star hotel.

(Unbelievable, it’s like I’ve ended up at Sister Olivia’s estate.)

The walls were adorned with light marble and warm wood, and the floor was covered with a soft ivory-colored carpet.

In the corner stood a large jacuzzi tub with a view of the ocean.

A vase of fresh tropical fruit waited on the table, and in the minibar, a cooler hummed quietly, housing a collection of premium alcohol.

(Well, that’s not for me. Alcohol is evil...)

Sohen walked over to the window, pulled back the curtain, and froze: before him stretched an endless turquoise ocean and white sand glistening in the sun.

(Wow! It must have been worth getting a little sleep right from the start, before this magical feeling of lightness... to look at this heavenly landscape with a clear head. Just wonderful!)

He quickly took a shower in the marble bathroom, put on light linen shorts and a white shirt, and stepped out into the hallway.

Wide corridors with crystal chandeliers, live palm trees in large planters, and soft, soothing music.

(The construction cost of this hotel is nearly $1 billion... An astronomical sum! Although I’m one of the people who could build something like this, but... it’s a very risky venture with an unpredictable outcome.)

On the first floor was a huge pool with a waterfall, a spa center scented with lavender, and several restaurants where the aroma of fresh croissants and coffee was already in the air.

Sohen went down to the lobby, where a smiling receptionist greeted him.

He stepped out onto the terrace, took out his phone, and dialed the first number.

- (Me). "Mom? I’m awake now. Where is everyone?

The voice on the other end was soft and a little playful.

- (Karin). "Finally, sleepyhead. Grandma, Phoebe, and I are already having breakfast by the pool. Come join us."

- (Me). "I’ll be there soon."

(They’ve already started enjoying our vacation, and that’s great. I hope there are still plenty of exciting moments ahead of us. We’ll need to extend our stay at the hotel for a few more days...)

Fifteen minutes later, he met all three of them.
