Chapter 11: Step 11 to Greatness: Girls Like ’Em Big
Barely three minutes later, Raven had already found some prey for Adrian and began circling the air.
"It better not be worms this time!" Adrian yelled, raising his fist in the air before poking Sera ahead of him. "Can you go any slower?"
Sera wanted to yell a thousand things at him, but due to the contract terms, she could only smile at him and do as he said. Adrian was forcing her to walk ahead of him, just in case there were any snakes around, like yesterday. ƒreewebɳovel.com
But that’s not how Adrian saw it. Since Sera was so pitifully weak, he was merely encouraging her to get stronger like any decent master would.
Eventually, they reached the clearing Raven was flying over and were dumbstruck. It was a flock of wild chickens, and they weren’t any ordinary chickens either.
Just like the extraordinarily large women of the tribe, these chickens were also big. Most were as big as a grown Labrador! More importantly, there were over five dozen of them, but the most amazing of them was the male cock chasing the hens.
"Such a big cock..." Sera mumbled absentmindedly.
"Thanks," Adrian replied without paying attention.
It was a good thing Sera couldn’t understand him, or he would have died from embarrassment. Adrian cleared his throat and pulled Sera a bit back so the chickens wouldn’t notice them.
Judging from the speed they were running from the male, it would be impossible to catch them without ranged weapons. Unfortunately, they didn’t have anything other than daggers on them.
Just then, Adrian remembered something.
"The pit trap!"
He was a bit regretful after combining the snare traps, he got into a single epic tier pit trap. After all, more snare traps meant a higher chance of capturing some prey.
However, these chickens would have easily snapped those flimsy traps. The pit trap was perfect for them. Besides, they were so heavy that as long as they fell in, they wouldn’t be able to get out on their own.
He turned to Sera and texted her to stay there. Then, to ensure she didn’t do anything to sabotage him, he ordered Raven to keep an eye on her.
Meanwhile, he slowly made his way around the clearing and took out the purple trap card. He scanned the ground and found the usual path taken by the beasts in the region.
"Since this is a single-use item, it would be a waste to use it just to catch the chickens," he mumbled.
He used the card to make a camouflaged pit trap right in the middle of the path. That way, even after catching the chicken, he could still get some use out of the trap, at least for a while before the animals figured it out and used an alternative path.
However, after using the card, a new problem arose.
"Did it work?"
He had used the card, and it had disappeared from his inventory. Yet, he couldn’t see any difference from before. The ground looked just like it had seconds ago.
However, just as he was about to step on the spot where the trap should have been, he noticed a faint purple outline on the ground.
"Oh shit, I almost fell into the trap myself!" Adrian smiled.
If even he couldn’t tell the trap apart from the surroundings, the animals most certainly couldn’t. Once everything was done, he returned to the earlier spot and sent Sera another text.
"You want me to chase them?" Sera asked, pointing at the chickens.
Adrian sighed in frustration. He had clearly explained the plan, and yet she was asking stupid questions.
"Raven, hit her."
The bird nodded and perched on top of Sera’s head. She smiled, thinking the bird was bonding with her.
Big mistake.
The next second, Raven raised her beak and struck her right in the crown of her head.
"Eek!" Sera yelped, shot to her feet, and began running towards the chickens mindlessly.
She shot out of the clearing, making strange noises with her arms flailing. Although the wild chickens clearly weren’t afraid of humans, the sounds coming out of Sera’s mouth were anything but human.
They ran as she got closer. However, they all moved straight towards the path where Adrian had set the trap. Adrian crossed his arms and watched the show with satisfaction.
"...this might work out better than I thought."
[Ha! That’s making good use of a slave. Oh man, I miss my slaves. You know, a few of them bankrupted their partners just to give gifts?]
"Oh yeah, did they call you Rasputin?"
[...how do you know my name?]

[Ha! Just kidding, boy. You should have seen the look on your face.]
Somewhere in the middle, Raven flew back to Adrian’s shoulder, quite pleased with herself. Adrian stroked her beak while rushing over to the other side of the clearing.
From a distance, he saw the first chicken fall into the camouflaged pit. Then another followed, and another. The other realized what was happening and ran sideways, disappearing into the forest.
Still, around two dozen of them had fallen into the trap. It was a good haul, and as long as he domesticated them, their small tribe should be set for a while.
However, just as he was thinking that, he heard Sera’s screams as she got closer.
"Oi, you’re going too fast!" Adrian yelled and even sent her a text to slow down.
Unfortunately, Sera had tightly shut her eyes and couldn’t see the message. Even the terrified chickens had enough presence of mind to run away from the pit, but Adrian’s servant did not.
A few seconds later, there was a loud thud as she fell right into the pit.
"I swear if she broke a bone, I would leave her here to rot," Adrian grumbled, rushing over to the pit.
He peaked in to see Sera sitting on top of a few chickens. Their plump bodies had made a sort of pillow for her, and it didn’t seem like she was injured besides a few scratches here and there.
Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for three chickens that got crushed by her needlessly big ass.
"I hope you like ’em big," Adrian yelled from above, looking at the upset chickens.
Sera saw them too, then looked pitifully at Adrian before the pit was filled with the noise of squawking and shrieking as the chickens began hitting her with their beaks and wings.
